1) The document discusses vertical farming as a solution to tackle increasing population and food demand. It proposes designing a vertical vegetable farming facility called "Eden" in Peshawar, Pakistan to grow food using less land. 2) Objectives of the project include using a small footprint to stack farming vertically, revolutionizing traditional farming with new techniques, and addressing future food crisis challenges. 3) The research will be limited to designing a facility in Peshawar to produce vegetables to meet local needs in a sustainable way with fewer crop varieties than traditional farming.

2. Introduction:
Vertical farming is new way of farming instead of
growing food on a horizontal land its growing vertically
in a multi story buildings it can grow more food will use
less land due to population increases in the cities we
can get economically and fresh food In the city. Due to
high cost of land this a new way to use less land and
get more food .

3. Problem Statement:
Population is increasing day by day & Agriculture is
directly proportional to population and accounts for 26
percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Pakistan
needs to increase food production by 40-50% to meet
the needs of a projected population of 221 million by
2025.

4. Motivation:
Due to lack of land and food demand is more now a days so for
that vertical farming is the solution to tackle this issue , Many
European countries growing food through vertical farming to save
the land and to fulfil the demands of food in their society.
The growing population and having a futuristic and visionary
approach towards the emerging sprawl of the world, VERTICAL
FARMING (GARDEN), could be a preferable solution to feed the
people today and tomorrow. In a country with numerous natural
resources and agriculturally sound scenario, we have been
ignoring this blessing of God for a long time. The yield we are
getting from the land farming can be multiplied to millions if we
make an effort to introduce this concept in our society and try to
make up our minds to invest for tomorrows success.

5. Pakistan has never promoted such platforms so I am
going to raise this issue and to get benefits from it. By
the year 2050, nearly 80% of the earth's population will
reside in urban centres. Applying the most conservative
estimates to current demographic trends, the human
population will increase by about 3 billion people during
the interim. At present, throughout the world, over 80%
of the land that is suitable for raising crops is in use.
Historically, some 15% of that has been laid waste by
poor management practices. People are migrating from
rural to urban area, as city population increases land
cost increases day by day also the demand of food are
getting increasing day by day.

6. Objectives:
1-To design a vertical vegetable farming (Eden)
2-Using a small foot print area and vertically stalking the
new farming techniques
3-Revolutionising the traditional farming industry using
new smart techniques
4-To tackle the food crisis challenges in future

7. Scope and Limitation:
The focus is to meet the food crisis and pollution crisis
through vertical farming in Peshawar , it will not just fulfil
the demand of Peshawar citizen but will also minimize the
pollution impact.
The research will be limited to Peshawar city only, by
designing a vertical farming to produce vegetables and
other crops which will helps the society needs. There will
be fewer varieties of foods to choose from because not all
plants and vegetables are suitable in a controlled and
limited environment

8. Description of the Research work:
It is predicted that the world population will reach 9 billion
by 2050, of which 70% will live in urban centres. This
change, alongside a changing climate, will strain Earth’s
resources, specifically the ability to supply food. A
valuable investigation would be to determine other ways
to supply food to cities alongside current agricultural
practices in a sustainable manner. There are many
developments taking place today that apply the concept
of urban agriculture, and the concept of vertical farming is
a large scale extension of urban agriculture.

9. Conclusion:
Every 3.6 seconds of persons dies from hunger and 75% of
them are children’s. Pakistan is in red zone , projected growth
from 196 million today 345 million by 2050 will shrink its grain
land per person from 0.08 hectares at present to 0.03
hectares an area scarcely the size of tennis court.
We can make a totally self sustainable structure which is
giving us a huge yield of agriculture to fulfill our domestic
requirements and can also help us boost up our economy by
trading those freshly made organic vegetables and fruits.
