This was a very special free community service event for job seekers and career transitioners. Four expert panelists: Alex Freund (The Landing Expert Career Coach), Jo-Rose Portfolio (Capital-3 Staffing Solutions, LLC), Penina Rybak (CEO of Socially Speaking, LLC & Director of The NICE Initiative for Female Entrepreneurship), and Chris Boyd (Founder of Simply Best Practice, LLC), discussed various topics related to creating one's own brand. Attendees walked away re-energized about job searching, with an expanded network, elevated self-esteem, and became one step closer to achieving both personal and professional satisfaction. It was open to the public, and ideal for those who were unemployed, underemployed, in or considering a career transition. The evening included free professional headshots for interested attendees, between 6 - 7pm, open networking before and after presentations, plus Q&A with all panelists, job leads, refreshments, and giveaways.

Bangladeshi residents living in the city. Volunteer
Mish has been involved since 2006 and currently
holds the role of secretary. Mish says “I’m a doer,
I like to get things done so a big part of my role
involves organising trips and funding and liaison
between the group and other non-Bengali speaking
organisations”.’
