Though uneducated, Peter and John amazed the council with their confidence from being with Jesus. The council could not deny the miracle occurred but wanted to stop the apostles' teaching. When commanded to stop preaching, Peter and John refused, saying they must obey God rather than men. The council threatened them further but let them go as the people praised God for what happened.

Peter's report victory
Psalm 110 describes a future leader who will be given power and authority by God. The LORD says to this leader "Sit at my right hand" and that he will rule over his enemies. Mary then visits her relative Elizabeth, who confirms that Mary is blessed among women for believing God's message. Elizabeth's unborn baby leaps in her womb recognizing Jesus.

Luke 6 jesus lord of the sabbath
- 1. Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath 6 Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first[a] that He went through the grain fields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hands. 2 And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
