This document discusses how to fulfill the sixth commandment of not murdering by helping others and not putting their lives in danger. It gives examples of dares that could hurt someone, like running in front of a car, and says we should do things that help others rather than possibly hurt them. The story at the end illustrates how looking out for others' safety by not retrieving a ball that was kicked into the road follows this commandment.

Help One Another, Don’t Hurt Others
The sixth of the Ten
Commandments says:
“You shall not murder”
(Exodus 20:13 ESV).
When we love God with all of our
heart, soul, and mind, and our
neighbor as ourselves …1
We don’t do things that will put
another person’s life in danger.
For example, you wouldn’t say
to a friend, “I dare you to run
in front of that car,” or “I dare
you to stick your finger into the
electrical outlet.”
We should do things that help
others, not things that could
possibly hurt them.
