weight, unless the calories burned
are more than the calories
consumed. There are two ways to go
about it. Either you can eat all the
right foods and keep exercising, so
that the body keeps burning
the fat. Or else, you reduce
the regular calorie intake.
In both scenarios, you need
to exercise, so the energy
produced in the body is
used in the right way. Just
an hour of physical exercise can
change a lot of things.
This diet mainly claims that you can lose
weight and keep diseases at bay if you
choose alkaline foods. So, a lot of things
are banned in this diet plan, including
meat, grains and dairy products. So, what
can you eat? Alkaline promoting foods,
including most of the veggies, fruits, and
soy products, are allowed, and you can
also consume some of the legumes, nuts,
and grains.
Yes, you will, but not for the reasons
as claimed by the diet. The diet says
that some foods can alter the pH
balance of the body, but that’s not a
valid theory, as the human body is
capable of maintaining a natural
balance. Also, the limited effect that
these foods may have will not
cause long-term weight loss.
You will lose weight because
you are on a calorie deficit
diet. You are junking all sorts
of comfort and easy foods,
which certainly doesn’t add to
the fat levels of the body. Coupled
with exercise, alkaline diet might be
enough to lose weight, but it’s not
any miracle, as some users claim.
It’s a personal call. However, this is one of the
natural diets, and therefore, there are very
few side effects, barring the fact that you
cannot have most things that you like. You can
switch to vitamin enhanced water, which is
known to have added electrolytes and
minerals that add to the pH score.
