Rafael Tufiño was a Puerto Rican graphic artist born in 1913 who received numerous honors and awards for his work. He served in World War 2 and received several military honors. As a graphic artist, he primarily created brochures and graphic designs. One of his most famous works was collaborating with another artist on the linoleum print "La Carreta" in 1954. His art often represented his experiences as a military veteran and taught important lessons to teens. He was inspired to teach teens through his art due to his involvement in an organization that promoted Puerto Rican art.
