RICH and his friends go searching for their missing friend MICHAEL at night after he has been missing for days. They explore an abandoned arcade and find Michael's body. However, a figure holding a knife is also in the arcade, so they flee with Michael and take him to the hospital. There, the sheriff informs them that Michael didn't survive, despite their efforts to save him. RICH is devastated by the loss of his lifelong friend.
The document profiles three characters: Rich Evans, a 17-year-old white American middle class male who enjoys rock music, horror films, hockey, and arcade games; Benny Stephens, the 37-year-old white American working class male sheriff who dislikes rock music and teens but likes football and cigarettes; and Jane Smith, a 17-year-old black British working class female who had a rough upbringing being raised by her father alone after her mother passed away during childbirth, enjoys rock music, adventure, and learning, and is a good friend of Rich Evans.
The script is for a 1980s slasher horror film titled "What Hides In The Dark" targeting 15-30 year olds. It follows a group of teenage friends in a small town as they search for their missing friend Michael James. They discover Michael being held in an abandoned arcade but are confronted by the antagonist Charlie Grey. Despite being dismissed by the local sheriff, the teens continue investigating with help from the retired sheriff who provides backstory on Charlie. They lure the sheriff to the arcade where a climactic confrontation occurs with Charlie, who is ultimately shot by the retired sheriff. The film aims to represent all people equally and positively through its diverse cast while telling a story of togetherness overcoming adversity.
The document describes how the author created posters for a horror film. They used dark colors like black and grey to evoke fear and link to the horror genre. Shadows were added to images using tools like burn and inner shadow to make them blend with the background and look mysterious. Gradient overlays on text were used to resemble blood splatters. Actors' clothing was made to look dirty to imply they had been running or falling. Both male and female actors from a range of ethnicities were included to ensure representation. Key information like the title, logo and date were kept clear and prominent. The posters were meant to appeal to wide audiences while meeting genre conventions through techniques like using red to symbolize blood and danger.
The document provides feedback on movie posters for a horror film. It summarizes the key elements of each poster and provides suggestions for improvement. Across all three posters, it notes that the titles, taglines, and fonts effectively fit the horror genre. However, it suggests making some text and images larger to stand out more. It also recommends simplifying background images to focus attention on the main subject. Overall, the feedback aims to enhance readability and ensure the posters clearly communicate their intended information.
PNGs are recommended for web advertisements while JPGs are better suited for print advertisements. Photoshop (PSD) files should also be retained in case changes need to be made to the poster designs.
The document describes the camera settings, equipment, and lighting setup used to photograph models for posters advertising a horror film set in the 1970s. It discusses using a fast shutter speed to capture expressions, a mid-range aperture to focus on models while blurring the background, and a low ISO to control lighting. Multiple shots were taken of each model in similar poses and outfits to depict different character types against a black backdrop with lighting from the side to create shadows. The final section discusses a wide shot of an arcade setting for the posters, captured with natural light using a slow shutter speed and low aperture and ISO.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the bodyโs response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
ย
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

1. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
2FILM SCRIPT: Bohemian Rhapsody
Type of script: UK
Language The language used is informal which is shown using words like โbastardsโ
and words like because being shortened down into โcozโ. The purpose of
this script is to entertain and inform, which means that the language used
is more informal so that everyone can understand it, and so that it links to
exactly how the band and other people spoke during that time. The target
audience of this script is obviously fans of Queen or Freddie himself and
as they were known globally the language used is more commonly known
English slang and words that everyone uses. The genre being biographical
musical drama affects the language because it needs to be more realistic,
as it needs to match how the band talked and acted and needs to be used
in a way to clearly show and create conflict and drama. The language used
is Elaborate so that everyone can understand it and it makes the film more
widely watchable as there is no need to research a topic to understand
what is being said.
Format & Layout
Conventions specific to this
type of script
The typical layout for this type of script is:
-Dialogue along with the character or thing speaking is in the center of the
page
-All names used are in caps
-Action starts on the left-hand side of the page
-Sluglines all in caps and in a bold font, also starts at the left-hand side of
the page
-Any important information, like props, are put in caps within action and
any important words are underlined within dialogue
A bold font and use of all caps words ensures that the important
information stands out so that the production team know what to focus on.
Three-act script Act 1 โ Find out that Freddie Mercury has died, and how this event has
affected Brian May, Roger Taylor, The media, and the rest of the world
Act 2 โ Brian begins an interview talking about the life of Queen and
Freddie Mercury
Act 3 โ Interviewer asks Brian one last question; Brian reacts by giving him
an atlas. Interviewer leaves Brian and Brian starts listening to queen
A three-act-script is important for this media as it sets a clear path for the
story to follow and acts as a foundation.
Angle of article The script is aimed at fans of Queen and itsโ band members who are
targeted using a clear title that links to Queen directly, name of one of their
most famous hits, and the use of band members as characters, Brian and
Roger. The interviewers are made to seem quite over the top and
insensitive, this is shown through the first set of interviewer dialogue where
he keeps asking Brian and Roger inappropriate questions that make them
uncomfortable, this is shown in both Brian and Rogers dialogue as they
react by being sarcastic and/or swearing at the interviewer. I think this film
is aimed at any type of person regardless of their gender, class, sexuality,
and ethnicity, however I do think that it requires a more mature audience
than being a targeted age of anywhere above 18 or so. I also believe that
people of the LGBTQ community and people in religion heavy families will
feel more targeted as they will be able to sympathise with Freddys
struggles and life issues more.
2. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
Style
i.e.
single-stranded
multi-stranded
linear
non linear
The script is non-linear and single-stranded. The script being like these fits
because the genre is Biographical meaning it must show most aspects on
the bands life and only be on that one thing and seeing as Brian is telling
their story to an interviewer makes the script non-linear as it goes back
and forth between 2016 and around the 1980s.
Type
i.e.
fiction
non fiction
Fiction, things are dramatized to fit genre.
3. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
TV SCRIPT: Dr Who
Type of script: Drama
Language The fact that the genre is Sci-fi action means that there will be more
questions asked by characters as they are confused by what they see. The
language used is informal shown using English slang and commonly used
words like โloveโ, this means that the intended audience, English people
because of the slang and words used, can understand what is happening
easier and can relate to it more. The purpose of the script is to entertain as
shown by the informal language and how actions are described and what
actions are happening. The language used is both elaborate and restricted
as it needs to be easy to understand for most people but does have
language that would only be known by people who have watched another
doctor who's. Examples of this is the English slang and creature and
technology names like the sonic screwdriver. The language appeals to its
audience as it is made up of common words and slang that are used by
English people daily and isnโt too confusing and demanding of prior
information about the show.
Format & Layout
Conventions specific to this
type of script
The typical layout for this type of script is:
-Scene timings to help people working on the show to understand how
long scenes should take before moving on
-Action starts at the left side of the page
-Names in all caps
-Dialogue and the person or thing speaking put in the center of the page
-Sluglines put in all caps, in a bold font and underlined at the left side of
the page
-Any scene changes underlined
The bold font and underlining make it obvious to anyone reading the script
what the important information about the scene is and when there is a
change of scene. Words being in all caps shows who or what is important
and is vital for the scene.
Three-act script Act 1 โ Ryan talking for a YouTube video, cuts to Ryan, his Nan and
Graham all on top of a hill whilst Ryan tries to learn how to ride a bike.
(Get and idea as to who the main character, other than the Doctor, will be
and a sense of relationships)
Act 2 โ Introduction to the protagonist, The Doctor, and an antagonist, the
monster. All characters introduced currently all on the train or making there
way towards it (Ryan and Yasmin)
Act 3 โ Monster is defeated. Ryanโs nan dies and everyone attends the
funeral, and later Graham, The Doctor, Ryan and Yasmin find themselves
stuck in space.
A Three-act-script is important for this type of script as it introduces you to
characters quickly and effectively and gives the audience an idea of the
genre and where the story is going and what the focus of the story will be.
Angle of article The script is aimed at fans of Dr Who, has the same title, and English
people, this is shown using English slang and words that are more
commonly used by English people. It is also aimed at fans of Sci-fi and
action, this is shown by the title being Doctor Who, people can assume
there will be a nice mix of both and the use of immediate action from the
weird monster and the doctor appearing soon after the start of the script.
The people are presented in a way that makes them oblivious as to who
the doctor is and what is going on in the moment, Ryan Sinclair and
Yasmin Khan are presented as young, this is shown by how they speak to
one another and other people, their actions, and the fact they know what
4. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
RADIO SCRIPT: 5 Live
Type of script: news
Language The purpose of this script is to inform people of what is happening
currently or what has happened. The audience influences the language as
it means the language needs to be informal to ensure everyone can
understand it clearly and equally and formal to fit the purpose of the script,
an example of this is the fact that proper words like overturned are being
used rather than flipped when talking about what has happened to a car
and the use of things like Mr. The specific target audience is people that
watch the news and stereotypically older people around their late 20s. This
audience is targeted using more formal language and the lacking inclusion
of things like slang words that the younger generation are using.
Format & Layout
Conventions specific to this
type of script
The typical layout for this type of script is:
-Title of Radio show in bold font
-Intro and Outro words so that production team know when to start and
stop recording or change to a different shot
-Scene durations
-Audio insert names in all caps, names in action begin with a capital
Words capitalized to show what the most important information is, and
bold font used to make certain things more obvious and harder to lose for
anyone working on or with the script.
they want just are yet to get there just yet as they need more education or
practice. All these things appeal to people who are 15 - 20 as they can
relate to the younger characters and having characters with different jobs
and from different backgrounds appeals to people in a range of classes
and ethnicities as they are being positively represented. The use of both a
range of male and female roles and having the leading role be a female
appeals to all manner of gender and sexuality as there are a range of
representations all of which are good.
Style
i.e.
single-stranded
multi-stranded
linear
non linear
The script is non-linear as it jumps between two different points in time, in
which both have sperate things happening. The script is multistranded as
there are multiple stories happening around the main one, for example
Ryanโsโ story with his nan is happening at the same time as the Doctorโs
story which is the main focus.
Type
i.e.
fiction
non fiction
Fiction based on the genre being Sci-fi.
5. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
Three-act script There isnโt a three-act script as there is no need for a clear beginning,
middle or end for this type of script as it has no narrative to follow.
Angle of article The script is aimed at people who are interested in the news and what is
happening in the world. They are being targeted using informal language
and the title of the script. The script is aimed at people of all genders and
sexualities, and those of a more mature age (late 20s and above) as it tells
a variety of stories that let people know what is going on around the world
all of which are about different things. Each story targets a different class
of person, for example the one about the Russian security guard would
target a higher class of person, stereotypically, because of the addition
about a political figure (President Putin).
Style
i.e.
single-stranded
multi-stranded
linear
non linear
The script is non-linear and multi-stranded as it jumps from one story to
another, all of which happened at different times.
Type
i.e.
fiction
non fiction
Non-fiction because the script is based around real events.
VIDEO GAME SCRIPT: Red Dead Redemption
Language The language used is mostly informal but has some words used that may
not be commonly known to match the character, an example of this is
when John uses the word โImploreโ and Bill reacts by saying he was
always one for fancy words. The target audience affects the language
used as it must be informal so that everyone can understand it enough to
play and not get confused. The language shows that his script is meant to
entertain its audience as the words used clearly link to the genre and
create emotion. The language used is mostly Elaborate code as then a
much wider range of audience members can understand it. The use of the
word father when talking to the priest shows time as it is a way of
addressing this type of person many years ago and through time is not as
used as frequently. The further use of religious speech like โHellโ shows
time as it shows that the time period it is based are heavily believing of
these ideas. The use of words like โsavageโ shows genre as it clearly
describes the actions or type of person, and a work like this wouldnโt be
used in another genre.
6. Unit 22: Task One
Understand scripted elements for a range of media products
Format & Layout
Conventions specific to this
type of script
The typical layout for this type of script is:
-Name of game at the top of the script
-Chapter/quest titles
-Character names start with a capital
-Action in square brackets starting at the left side of the page
-Name of character talking with a colon followed by dialogue, all on same
line and starts at the left side of the page
There are lines separating the different kinds of information in the script so
that itโs easier to follow. For example, there is a line after the list of
chapters to clearly show where the actual script starts. This script is
different so that it can be clearly understood for the purpose and will not
get confused for something like a film script.
Three-act script Act 1 โ Learn about Billsโ gang and get an introduction to what sort of
character he and John are. Also get an idea for the genre.
Act 2 โ John makes his way for the fort and tries to reason with Bill and
defuse the situation.
Act 3 โ John is shot and put in the back of a wagon.
It is important for this type of script to have a three-act layout as it means
that everything is introduced at good times and gives the audience clearer
ideas as to who they should route for and who and what the focus of the
narrative is or will be.
Angle of article The script is targeted at people who are into action-adventure games, with
a reasonable amount of violence. This audience is being targeted through
the language used and by what the narrative is about, that being John
Marston going after his old gang of outlaws. John is being presented as
reasonable and helpful whereas Bill is being presented as cruel and
unforgiving. The script is targeted at people that are 18 and above, and
mainly men based on the action, violence, language and heavy use of
male characters. It is targeted probably to people of white origin based on
the time period it is set, as many other ethnicities had negative views
against them during this time, and the use of a heavily white character
roster.
Style
i.e.
single-stranded
multi-stranded
linear
non linear
This script is linear and single-stranded as it all follows what John has
been ordered to do and all the events happen in order.
Type
i.e.
fiction
non fiction
Fiction, ideas based off what we know of the time period.
