H-Beam, an engineered timber
component is the core of the system.
Manufactured under stringent quality
measures, the wooden flanges are made
of chemically treated, seasoned timber.
Using a unique finger jointing method,
the webs are manufactured by joining
these flanges with boiling water-proof
plywood.
H-beams consume less timber, as low as
40% of the required timber volume.
Hence, they are light, dimensionally
stable and retain their structural
properties over a period of time, even
after continual usage. They are more
predictable, easy to design and use.
H-beams can be used and reused nearly
100 times, which is 8 times greater than
conventional timber.
H-beams are available in two sizes
namely H-16 (16 cms depth) and H-20
(20 cms depth). The length varies
between 1m to 4.00m for H-16 and upto
4.80m for H-20.

A suitable and more convenient type of
formwork for laying RC floors, the L&T
Flex System is made up of components that
give a firm support to floorings. It is suitable
for RC floors as high as 5.80 m and is very
well adapted for use with the Beam Forming
System.
H-beams positioned at designed intervals
provide additional support to the
plywood sheathing. These H-beams,
supported by telescopic props
mounted on tripods, ensure lateral
stability.
Props of various sizes – CT-250, CT - 300,
CT - 340, CT - 410 & EUREX 550 - can be
effortlessly mounted on the tripods, enabling
faster and easier erection of the shuttering
system. Height adjustments are done by
adjusting the prop nuts. Required dimension
is obtained through side-lapping of H-beams
in either the primary or secondary layer.
By facilitating re-propping, the system
minimizes the quantity of formworks
significantly.

2.25 manhours per sq.m (making)
0.85 manhours per sq.m (shift & align)
Widely used in making large scale flat
slabs in construction majors like IT
parks, commercial complexes and
malls, L&T Flex Table System is handy
and easy to use. It is highly suited for
laying RC-floors up to 5.80m height.
Depending on grid sizes, standard
tables are made using suitable and
effective components: timber beam,
steel member, aluminum member,
collapsible props and plywood
sheathing. These primary and
secondary beam components are
connected firmly with table heads,
making the entire system rigid and
robust.
Horizontal shifting of the system is
done using hydraulically operated pallet
trucks, while vertical shifting is done
using cranes. This avoids dismantling
of individual components, hence
reducing labour and cycle time.

L&T Beam Forming Support System
(BFS) is suitable for RC-Beams of depth
between 30 cm to 110 cm. It is
customised for use along with Flex and
Heavy Duty Tower systems.
Beam Bottom: Rigid H-20 beams /
H-16 beams, positioned at designed
spacing, support the plywood sheathing
and form the secondary layer. These in
turn are supported, for extra-stability,
by a primary layer of H-beams.
Beam Sides: Like the Beam bottom,
the Beam sides are also made up of
plywood sheathing supported by
H-Beams at designed spacing, running
along the length of the RC-beam.
Supported by the BFS, the H-beams are
clamped onto the H-20 beams provided
for the Beam bottom. The beam forming
support ensures the right angle between
the beam bottom and sides.
BFS extensions available in three sizes -
600mm, 800mm and 1100mm in length
- provide required adjustments in depth.

L&T Wall & Column Formwork
System is suitable for casting RC-walls
and columns of minimum 15 x 15 cm.
In both cases, the plywood sheathing is
supported by H-beams, backed by steel
walers. This assembly facilitates fixing
working platforms for access, checking
of reinforcement, concreting, etc.
Panels have extra provision to achieve
verticality and the concrete pressure is
sustained by high strength tie system.
The high strength tie system can be
through tie system or lost anchor
system depending on the structure. The
H-Beams can be butt and splice jointed
to form larger size of panels.
The entire panel, along with the
platform and alignment system can be
shifted using cranes as a single unit.
Panels are created in workshops at the
site and the assembly of components is
reduced, enhancing accuracy
throughout. Since the entire unit is
handled as a whole, loss of smaller
component is reduced, and contributes
to material productivity. In the absence
of a crane the panels can be dismantled
and handled manually.
The walers are available in sizes of
0.8m, 1.2m, 1.6m, 1.8m, 2m and 2.4m
for making panels and combination of
panels with splices and adjustments can
be made to arrive at the exact lengths of
RC wall.

M EI M = Bending Moment Q = Shear Force E = Modulus of Elasticity I = Moment of Inertia STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES Salient Features l Reduced timber consumption l Minimises labour l Dimensionally stable, uniform in size and consistent in strength l Economical and long-lasting H-Beam, an engineered timber component is the core of the system. Manufactured under stringent quality measures, the wooden flanges are made of chemically treated, seasoned timber. Using a unique finger jointing method, the webs are manufactured by joining these flanges with boiling water-proof plywood. H-beams consume less timber, as low as 40% of the required timber volume. Hence, they are light, dimensionally stable and retain their structural properties over a period of time, even after continual usage. They are more predictable, easy to design and use. H-beams can be used and reused nearly 100 times, which is 8 times greater than conventional timber. H-beams are available in two sizes namely H-16 (16 cms depth) and H-20 (20 cms depth). The length varies between 1m to 4.00m for H-16 and upto 4.80m for H-20. It is suitable for RC floors as high as 5.80 m and is very well adapted for use with the Beam Forming System. H-beams positioned at designed intervals provide additional support to the plywood sheathing. These H-beams, supported by telescopic props mounted on tripods, ensure lateral stability. Props of various sizes – CT-250, CT - 300, CT - 340, CT - 410 & EUREX 550 - can be effortlessly mounted on the tripods, enabling faster and easier erection of the shuttering system. Height adjustments are done by adjusting the prop nuts. Required dimension is obtained through side-lapping of H-beams in either the primary or secondary layer. By facilitating re-propping, the system minimizes the quantity of formworks significantly. H-BEAM H-16 BEAM H-20 BEAM 7 6
  • 5. L&T FLEX TABLE SYSTEM LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY l l 2.25 manhours per sq.m (making) 0.85 manhours per sq.m (shift & align) Widely used in making large scale flat slabs in construction majors like IT parks, commercial complexes and malls, L&T Flex Table System is handy and easy to use. It is highly suited for laying RC-floors up to 5.80m height. Depending on grid sizes, standard tables are made using suitable and effective components: timber beam, steel member, aluminum member, collapsible props and plywood sheathing. These primary and secondary beam components are connected firmly with table heads, making the entire system rigid and robust. Horizontal shifting of the system is done using hydraulically operated pallet trucks, while vertical shifting is done using cranes. This avoids dismantling of individual components, hence reducing labour and cycle time. • 6. L&T Beam Forming Support System (BFS) is suitable for RC-Beams of depth between 30 cm to 110 cm. It is customised for use along with Flex and Heavy Duty Tower systems. Beam Bottom: Rigid H-20 beams / H-16 beams, positioned at designed spacing, support the plywood sheathing and form the secondary layer. These in turn are supported, for extra-stability, by a primary layer of H-beams. Beam Sides: Like the Beam bottom, the Beam sides are also made up of plywood sheathing supported by H-Beams at designed spacing, running along the length of the RC-beam. Supported by the BFS, the H-beams are clamped onto the H-20 beams provided for the Beam bottom. The beam forming support ensures the right angle between the beam bottom and sides. BFS extensions available in three sizes - 600mm, 800mm and 1100mm in length - provide required adjustments in depth. Salient Features l Eliminates use of timber for beam sides and beam bottom l Requires only the cutting and placement of plywood l Suitable for beam depths from 300mm onwards l Easy to assemble, align and fix l Easy to level and obtain accuracy of dimension l Adjustability in depth of beam in 10 mm increments l Right angle of side formwork is ensured with respect to beam bottom l Facilitates easy De-shuttering L&T BEAM FORMING SUPPORT SYSTEM 3 3 1 2 4 3 2 4a 1 4 BFS EXTN. 1100 LG BFS EXTN. 800 LG BFS EXTN. 600 LG BSF EXTN WING NUT BEAM FORMING SUPPORT 20 ANCHOR PLATE TIEROD TUBE CONE Supporting Components TIE ROD H-BEAM It is required when beam HT goes to above 600mm only TIEROD TUBE H-16 BEAM H-20 BEAM 11 10

L&T WALL / COLUMN FORMWORK SYSTEM LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY For Straight Walls: For Circular Walls: Coloumn: l l l l l l 0.9 manhours per sq.m using crane 1.7 manhours per sq.m without crane 1.3 manhours per sq.m using crane 2.0 manhours per sq.m without crane 1.0 manhours per sq.m using crane 1.8 manhours per sq.m without crane L&T Wall & Column Formwork System is suitable for casting RC-walls and columns of minimum 15 x 15 cm. In both cases, the plywood sheathing is supported by H-beams, backed by steel walers. This assembly facilitates fixing working platforms for access, checking of reinforcement, concreting, etc. Panels have extra provision to achieve verticality and the concrete pressure is sustained by high strength tie system. The high strength tie system can be through tie system or lost anchor system depending on the structure. The H-Beams can be butt and splice jointed to form larger size of panels. The entire panel, along with the platform and alignment system can be shifted using cranes as a single unit. Panels are created in workshops at the site and the assembly of components is reduced, enhancing accuracy throughout. Since the entire unit is handled as a whole, loss of smaller component is reduced, and contributes to material productivity. In the absence of a crane the panels can be dismantled and handled manually. The walers are available in sizes of 0.8m, 1.2m, 1.6m, 1.8m, 2m and 2.4m for making panels and combination of panels with splices and adjustments can be made to arrive at the exact lengths of RC wall. Salient Features l Ideal system for speedy construction l Panels can be dismantled and handled manually l Minimizes the number of sheathing joints l Ensures excellent concrete finish with minimum specialized skill l Large panels can be handled as a single unit with a crane resulting in high material and labour productivity l Simple shuttering and de-shuttering operation l Wall Formwork panels facilitate fixing of working platform and alignment system l Column Formwork panels can be used along with Climbing Formwork System 7a 2a 2 1 STEEL WALER UNIVERSAL INSIDE CORNER SAFE GUARD DRILLING PLATE ASSEMBLY ANGLE 3 H-BEAM WALER CONNECTOR 4 FLANGE CLAW ASSEMBLY BEAM CONNECTION SPLICE PLATE LIFTING BRACKET 6 Supporting Components SPLICE PLATE ANGLE PLATE 7a BEAM CLAMP 8 CONNECTING PIN 5 5a Supporting Components Supporting Components SW 0.80 M SW 1.20 M SW 1.60 M SW 2.00 M SW 2.40 M 13a 13 18 TOP SCAFFOLD BRACKET SCREW ON COUPLER 80 HANDRAIL PIPE 14 UNIVERSAL OUTSIDE FIXING 15 TIE ROD 3000 TIEROD TUBE CONE TIEROD TUBE ANCHOR PLATE WING NUT ANCHOR CONE PVC PLUG 9 FOOT ADAPTOR ASSEMBLY 10 CT PROP410 (DN) SUPPORTING BRACKET 11 12 HEAD ADAPTOR ASSEMBLY 18 15a Supporting Components Supporting Components 5 4 TYPICAL C/S OF WALL / COLUMN FORMWORK SYSTEM 9 10 11 TYPICAL C/S OF WALL / COLUMN FORMWORK SYSTEM 12 13 15 COLUMN PART PLAN OF WALL FORMWORK PART PLAN OF COLUMN FORMWORK 1 2 3 7 6 8 COLUMN PART PLAN OF WALL FORMWORK PART PLAN OF COLUMN FORMWORK 1 2 3 7 6 8 14 H-BEAM H-16 BEAM H-20 BEAM ADJ. • 11. L&TACCESS SCAFFOLD SYSTEM LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY FOR SCAFFOLDING l 0.15 manhours per cu.m L&T Access Scaffold System provides a free and safe working environment, increasing productivity. It contains frames, 1.8m high, braced with standard H225 & 2H225 bracings that form the main structure. Suitable couplers and pins connect individual frames with each other, giving the tower the desired height. The towers are provided with tower spindles at the bottom for fine adjustments in height and leveling. The towers provide a continuous corridor for working with the bracings serving as hand rails. There are no cross members or diagonal bracings that impede free passage or safe working. This is an ideal system for scaffolding for heights up to 40m. The width of the working platform is 1m. The scaffold has to be braced with the permanent structure at every 4m in height. Salient Features l Economical design l Lightweight, easy to erect or dismantle using unskilled labour l Provides free movement for workmen without any obstruction at all levels l The bracings serve as handrails too and can be easily fixed and removed l Made up of standard welded frame of 1.8m l In-built working platform (scaffold board) l Flexibility in height adjustment, easy to obtain verticality and plumbs l Used for finishing works up to 40m height with permanent ties at every 4m height interval 1 1 4 4 3 3 2 2 4a SPRING LOCKED CONNECTING PIN 2 SCAFFOLD FRAME 1.80M 1 SCAFFOLD COUPLER 4a 3 L.D.
