This paper proposes enhancing issue tracking systems with personalized views to improve developers' situational awareness. It conducted interviews with Mozilla developers who felt Bugzilla lacked support for maintaining awareness of issues and tasks. The paper describes a prototype that augments Bugzilla with customized views like watch lists for privately tracking issues, patch logs to view changes, and action summaries to monitor tasks. The views are aimed at supporting common developer activities like bug and patch tracking, self-tracking, and assigning reviewers. The prototype provides filtered, relevant information from Bugzilla to help developers stay informed and improve awareness, and received positive early feedback. Future work includes further implementation, a user study to evaluate its effectiveness, and incorporating developer feedback.

Five little ducks went out one day, over the hills and far away. Mother duck said "Quack, quack, quack, quack," but only four little ducks came back. One little duck was wearing a red hat, one was wearing a blue hat, one was wearing a green hat, and one was wearing a yellow hat. The fifth little duck was lost and couldn't find his way back without his hat.
