A volunteer worked with the National Association of Businesswomen of Tajikistan in Khujand, the second largest city, helping local businesses with marketing, advertising, crafts, and business strategies. The volunteer lived with a multi-generational host family outside the city and worked closely with a university student counterpart. Through training and hands-on experience, the volunteer gained skills in areas like planning, marketing, design, presenting, negotiating, and networking while providing support to a party planner, laundrette, kindergarten, and other craft and education businesses.
