He has swallowed up death forever! The Lord Yahweh will wipe away tears from off all faces
Your dead shall live
When did the Last days start
Latter days
Watching: Watch, then, that the light in you is not darkness.

Jabez prayed that God would bless him, enlarge his territory, be with him, and protect him from harm. God answered Jabez's prayer. The document explores principles for effective prayer seen in Jabez's prayer and other biblical passages, such as asking God, asking in faith, having proper motives, recognizing that all good things come from God, trusting in God's presence, and finding protection in God.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The River of Life #11 - This presentation is about how to get a new beginning in life and how to be clean before God. It begins with the story of Naaman, the leper who was healed when he washed in the Jordan. We too have the disease of sin and need cleansing. Baptism is a sign that we are humbling ourselves, obeying God, and having sin washed away. Christ has given us an example and we ought to follow Him.

He Bore Our Sins - What It Means part 3Dave Stewart
You’ll learn in this lesson what it means that Jesus bore our sins. It is not just what happened on the cross, that’s the climax of His holiness. Rather it’s everything about Jesus coming to be a man and identify with us in our sin and guilt and through his love and compassion be the sin offering so that we can be reconciled to our Father. The document discusses biblical timelines and prophecies. It argues that a prophetic "time" refers to 360 years based on references in scripture. This means the "seven times" punishment mentioned in Leviticus 26 of 2,520 years. The document discusses the concept of offering to God that which costs us nothing through several Bible passages. It references Solomon building the temple on Mount Moriah where God appeared to David. It also discusses passages about the persecutions and afflictions that the early church endured for their faith, and how they offered their lives as living sacrifices to God. The document encourages offering our whole lives to God, including being willing to suffer reproach and rejection for Jesus.
This document provides an introduction and overview to the Sermon on the Mount given by Jesus Christ as recorded in Matthew 5-7. It discusses the context and purpose of the Sermon on the Mount, noting that while it outlines an ethical standard, it does not provide the means or power to achieve it. The Sermon on the Mount lifts the Mosaic Law to an even higher standard and reveals mankind's inability to attain righteousness through works. It is meant to convict people of their sin and need for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
The document discusses prophecies from Isaiah about God restoring the heavens and earth and creating a new Jerusalem without weeping or crying. It then discusses passages from the New Testament about how believers should live in light of these prophecies, looking forward to Christ's appearing and purifying themselves. The document also provides summaries about the characteristics and features of Christ's future millennial kingdom based on passages from Isaiah, Psalms, Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation.

Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Rest of Our Work #7 - God set aside a day in every week to spend time with us and develop a relationship with Him. We do not keep the law to be saved, we keep the law because we are saved.

The document is a 31 slide presentation on lessons from a cave. It contains multiple Bible verses from Psalms and other books that discuss taking refuge in God, crying out to God in difficult times, God sending his truth and love, praising God among the nations, and exalting God above the heavens. The presentation uses the verses to discuss themes of finding shelter, strength, and hope in God during hard times.
A prophet from Judah prophesied against Jeroboam's altar and was invited by the king to eat with him, but refused due to God's command. An old prophet from Bethel lied and said God told him to bring the prophet back, who then ate with him and was killed by a lion on his way home as judgment for disobeying God's command. The story teaches that we must obey God rather than men and will all give an account to God for our actions.
The document discusses the biblical Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkoth). It describes how the feast commemorates the harvest and the Israelites' 40 years wandering in the desert. During the feast, Israelites built temporary shelters (sukkot) and lived in them for 7 days. At the Temple, priests performed rituals like pouring water and sacrificing 70 bulls to atone for the nations. The feast points to God dwelling with his people and the future ingathering of all nations when the Messiah returns.
The document is a slide presentation on the biblical book of Ecclesiastes. It contains various passages from Ecclesiastes and other books of the Bible that discuss themes of wisdom, the futility of life, and remembering God. The final slides conclude that people should fear God and keep his commandments, as everyone will be judged by God for their deeds.
Jesus concludes his Sermon on the Mount by likening those who hear his words but do not act on them to a foolish man who builds his house on sand. In contrast, those who hear and obey are like a wise man who builds on rock. After finishing the sermon, Jesus impresses the crowds with his authoritative teaching. He then begins a second tour of Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing the sick. During this time, he raises the son of a widow from the dead in the village of Nain, demonstrating his power over death.
The Tribe of Benjamin was the youngest son of Jacob and Rachel. Benjamin was almost given the name "Son of my sorrow" at birth since his mother Rachel died in childbirth. However, Jacob renamed him "Son of my right hand," saving him from that negative omen. As the right hand represents power and authority, Benjamin took on an anointing of regency, representing the ruler. Moses further blessed Benjamin, prophesying he would be beloved, dwell in safety, and be covered and protected by God. Historically, the Tribe of Benjamin found protection under the larger tribes of Joseph such as Ephraim and Manasseh.
The document describes a situation in the early Christian church where Greek-speaking widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food. The twelve disciples appointed seven men, including Stephen, to oversee the distribution so that the disciples could focus on preaching. Stephen performed great signs and wonders but also encountered opposition from religious leaders. He was eventually falsely accused of blasphemy and brought before the Jewish high council, where he gave a speech defending his faith before being martyred.
This document is a summary of a sermon given at First Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi on February 22, 2015. The sermon discusses committing one's way to God according to Nehemiah 10:28-39. It provides three challenges for the church's education department in 2015: memorizing monthly verses, sharing one's faith with one person per month, and having class members share how they've seen God at work. The sermon discusses the coming of Jesus, the importance of watching and praying, and inheriting the crown of righteousness. It relates these concepts to current geopolitical events mentioned in the Bible like the Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38 wars.
Bible Truths - Prophecy of Daniel and Revelation - The Unchangeable Law #6 - Are the Ten Commandments important and relevant today? What is the purpose of God's law? Were they done away with after Jesus came? Is the law eternal or has it changed? We are not under the law but under grace, but does that mean we have the freedom to break the law? The day is coming when laws will be passed regarding worship which goes against God's laws. Those who pass the laws will believe what they are doing is right and biblical. We need to know the difference between God's laws and man's laws.

2. In response, Peter preaches to the crowd, emphasizing that it was through faith in Jesus, not their own power, that the man was healed. He urges them to repent and turn to God.
3. Peter tells them they disowned the Holy One, Jesus, but God raised him from the dead as foretold by the prophets. He reminds them that through Abraham all peoples will be blessed.

Christ learned obedience through suffering. Suffering produces perseverance and leads to an eternal glory that outweighs temporary hardships. While suffering, Job maintained his faith in God despite losing his family and possessions, and his example is one Christians can learn from. Suffering is common to humanity, but God promises to never abandon those who are His and to use hardship to draw people nearer to Himself.

The basis of this presentation comes from Daniel 3 and the golden image of Nebuchadnezzar. There are two beasts spoken of that are world powers that combine government and religion. This document discusses how Christians should live in light of the imminent return of Jesus Christ. It examines different views on the rapture and tribulation period. The key points are:
1. Every generation of Christians believed Jesus was coming during their lifetime, based on signs in the Bible.
2. The document reviews passages suggesting the rapture occurs mid-tribulation or post-tribulation, not pre-tribulation as many believe.
3. Based on Jesus' teachings, Christians should live in constant readiness for His return, providing for others and making prudent preparations, rather than ignoring the signs of the times. How Christians live should reflect their eagerness to see Him.

Over the next few weeks I will be taking you through Genesis Chapter One and the Creation Week. So fasten your seat belts cause on Monday we are starting right at the beginning with Genesis 1:1.
The document discusses biblical passages about the second coming of Christ and rapture. It argues that Christ's return will not be secret or quiet, but will involve cataclysmic events like darkness and falling stars. Several signs must occur first, like wars and famines. The document also asserts that the rapture and second coming will coincide with the opening of the sixth seal and blowing of the seventh trumpet. Many mysteries will be revealed at Christ's appearance in the clouds.
The document discusses biblical interpretations of prophecies related to the timing of Jesus' second coming. It argues that a "prophetic time" refers to 360 years based on biblical references. It then explains how this relates to a "seven times" prophecy in Leviticus involving the punishment of Israel, stating that precisely 2,520 years after the first Assyrian invasion of Israel in 745 BC, the United States was founded on July 4, 1776, fulfilling the prophecy when God would restore Israel. The document uses various biblical references to support interpreting prophecies about the timing of end times events.
End Time Church Deception Powerpoint Presentationmail2jimmy123
The document discusses end times theology and debates around the timing of the rapture. It argues that the common belief in a pre-tribulation rapture is a relatively new doctrine, and cites several biblical passages that suggest Christians will experience the tribulation period and the second coming of Christ will occur at the end of the tribulation. The document aims to dispel popular rapture theories and outline what it sees as the true biblical timeline of end times events based on scripture.
The document discusses the popular Christian belief in a secret rapture and argues that it is not biblically supported. It provides numerous quotes from scripture describing Jesus' second coming as a visible, audible, worldwide event that will destroy the earth and usher in final judgment, contradicting the idea of a secret disappearance of believers. While some verses use thief imagery, it is meant to convey the suddenness, not secrecy, of Christ's return. The theory likely arose from taking quotes out of context to support a preconceived notion not found in the Bible.
Deeper the return of the king - mar 13, 2011John Smith
The document is a collection of Bible passages and other Christian writings about the second coming of Christ and the end times. It discusses that:
1. Jesus will return physically and visibly in the same way he ascended into heaven.
2. When Jesus returns, he will judge both the living and the dead, with believers in Christ being saved and unbelievers facing eternal damnation.
3. No one knows the exact time of his return, only God the Father knows, so Christians should live holy lives in light of that coming judgment.
In this first part of The End Times series, we lay a foundation on the importance of studying Bible prophecy, the approach we take in doing so. We establish the fact that Bible prophecy is absolutely credible and reliable. We then lay some ground work by discussing regions of the world that are of importance in Bible prophecy.

Esther prepares to go before the king on the third day of fasting and praying, feeling confident God has answered her prayers. In Scripture, the number three often symbolizes completion or fulfillment. The passage suggests this scene represents Jesus' second coming and establishment of his millennial kingdom, as the king is sitting on his throne, which Jesus will do after returning. The number of days and references to a third day point to a pattern in the Bible timing Jesus' second advent for around the year 2000 AD.

The document discusses the meaning of "the day of Christ" referenced in several passages such as John 8:56 and Philippians. It argues that these passages refer to Christ's second coming, not his first, based on contextual clues. For example, Paul discusses "the day of Christ" as a future event. The document also examines related passages about the promises and blessings to Abraham and his seed, suggesting these will be fulfilled in the Millennial Kingdom and eternity, not solely through individual salvation today.
The document discusses theories about the Second Advent or return of Jesus Christ based on interpretations of biblical passages. It explores different perspectives on whether the Second Advent will be a physical or spiritual event, and where it may occur. Specifically, it argues that Christ will return through being born in the flesh in an Eastern nation, not among the Jewish people as some believe, based on passages indicating he will come from the east. It also discusses theories about the meaning of Christ returning "on the clouds" and why Jesus used that language. The document analyzes different interpretations of prophecies around Christ's Second Advent in an attempt to clarify details about how and where it may happen.
The Powerpoint outlines for this series of lessons on The Great Commission were downloaded from the Duluth, GA Church of Christ website at: http://www.churchofchristduluthga.org/sermons.php
Period of Spiritual Instruction introduction to EschatologyJames Willis
The document provides an introduction to the topic of eschatology, or the study of end times. It summarizes that 27% of the Bible contains prophecies, and outlines nine important end times prophecies from the Bible. It also describes key elements of eschatology including biblical covenants, dispensations, the roles of Israel, the church, and nations in end times, and the order of end times events like the rapture and second coming. The document aims to explain why the study of eschatology is important and asks whether readers are prepared for Jesus' return.
Deeper the return of the king - mar 13, 2011John Smith
Jesus will return someday to judge the living and the dead. When he does, believers who have trusted in Christ will be saved, while those whose names are not written in the book of life will be condemned to the lake of fire. As Christians await Christ's return, they should live holy lives motivated by the knowledge that they will give an account of themselves to Jesus. The exact timing of Christ's return is unknown, but believers can have assurance that he will judge justly as the righteous judge.
This document contains a sermon discussing the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as foretold in scripture and fulfilled on the cross. Key points include: Jesus died as the sacrificial Lamb of God to atone for the sins of mankind, as foreshadowed by the Passover lambs; his death was prophesied centuries earlier and fulfilled many specific prophecies; and he died with a sign above his head identifying him as the King of the Jews, just as the lambs bore signs identifying the families for whom they died. The sermon explores the deep connections between the Old Testament Passover tradition and Jesus' ultimate sacrifice on the cross as the perfect fulfillment.
The true midnight cry, vol. 1, no. 1 (august 22, 1844) - S SnowZafnat Panea
1) The document discusses the timing of Jesus Christ's second coming based on interpretations of biblical prophecies, including the 2300 day prophecy in Daniel 8:14 and the 70 week prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27.
2) It argues that the 2300 days and 70 weeks prophecies point to the autumn of 1844 as the time of Jesus' return, based on calculations starting from decrees by Persian kings to rebuild Jerusalem in 457 BC.
3) It also discusses interpretations of other biblical passages related to understanding the timing of Jesus' second coming such as the seven times prophecy in Leviticus 26 referring to Gentile domination ending in 1844.
The epistle of 2 Peter contains 3 chapters and 61 verses focusing on events of the last days. It was written to encourage the same readers as 1 Peter. Key points include that the last days will be characterized by apostasy, anarchy, and scoffers. The authority of Scripture is emphasized to combat confusion. Peter notes Jesus, not himself, is the rock of the church. He teaches that every believer is a priest and there is no need for religious hierarchy. Peter warns against tolerance of sin in the last days. The book references Paul's writings positively and says unstable people distort them. It also references Scripture being a surer foundation than visions or dreams. Overall, the letter exhorts believers to stand firm in
This presentation represnts a discourse about the six (6) numbers that describe the bulk of bible prophecy and how to distinguish true prophets and religious movements from fake ones based on scripture.
Politics and christianity - What to expect - A biblical perspective.
* How God chooses leaders - Example from Judges.
* "Yahweh says to his anointed (mâshı̂yach), to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him,

(not democratic, because he was rejected by his own people)
* Who is your ruler - the one you elect or the Christ?
* Was Jesus an Anti national?
"So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone; in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;" (Ephesians 2:19-21)
* Which nation do we truly belong to?
Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

The Bright woman of Rev 12 vs mystery Babylon of Rev 17&18Linus Daniel
The document compares and contrasts the woman of Revelation 12 and the harlot of Revelation 17-18. It notes several key differences:
- The woman is seen in heaven wearing the sun, while the harlot sits on waters and wears purple/scarlet.
- Their relationships to the beasts also differ - the woman is threatened by the dragon's tail while the harlot rides the scarlet beast.
- Ultimately the harlot represents all people who engage in spiritual prostitution through idolatry and turning away from God, while the woman represents God's faithful people.
- The document encourages the reader to adorn themselves as the bride of Christ rather than engaging in the sins symbolized by the har

Eight Blessings from Jesus from Heaven!Linus Daniel
The document lists 8 blessings from Jesus in the Book of Revelation. It summarizes each blessing in 1-2 sentences. The blessings are: 1) Blessed is one who reads the prophecy aloud. 2) Blessed are those who hear and keep what is written. 3) Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. 4) Blessed are those who rest from their labors. 5) Blessed is one who stays awake keeping his garments on. 6) Blessed are those invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. 7) Blessed and holy is one who shares in the first resurrection. 8) Blessed are those who wash their robes to enter the city by the gates.

The Ephesians - Their Journey to ChristianityLinus Daniel
Paul was instrumental in converting the citizens of Ephesus to Christianity. Other important people such as Apollos, Priscilla and Aquila also played a significant role.
Ephesus (in Modern day Turkey) was a centre of travel, commerce and pilgrimage (Temple of Artemis - one of the seven wonders of ancient world) . It was second in importance and size only to Rome.
The slides take you through Paul's journey and stay at Ephesus in a setting of my travel images from a visit to the excavations of ancient Ephesus.
The Influence of Christianity in Ephesus had a significant impact on 'Asia' in those days.
The slides conclude with Jesus' impressions (judgments) of the believers in Ephesus after the time of Paul's preaching.
Behold a Law of love that Moses the prophet of the Almighty taught. These slides Explore the law of Love from the Torah and the prophets - Love towards enemies, strangers and poor.
In all of the bible two commands stand out.
1 Love God
2 Love your neighbour.
Once these concepts are understood, it is then easy for one to see how Jesus derived his teaching from the law and the prophets and interpreted it in the context of the Roman oppression of his times. Moses gave these laws in the context of being redeemed out of Egypt during the wilderness journey as they were being prepared to enter the promised land.
"What is written in the LAW? HOW READEST THOU? "- Jesus
"Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law." - Paul
This document discusses the importance of not remaining silent when witnessing injustice or sin, and the responsibilities of church leaders to address issues rather than ignore them. It provides several biblical examples of individuals like Jesus, John the Baptist, Phinehas, Ezra, and Jeremiah who spoke out against wrongdoing despite facing opposition or risk to their lives. The document also discusses how fear, pressure, and selfishness can lead people to remain silent instead of acting or speaking when they should. Overall, it argues that silence in the face of injustice makes one complicit and perverts justice, while speaking the truth in love and humility is the righteous path.
The Essence of Deuteronomy - A God that Seeks a Loving RelationshipLinus Daniel
Understanding God – A reflection on verses from Deuteronomy. Examining how Moses taught the people that the essence of the law is to have a Loving relationship with God.
The CULTURE of Humility & Hospitality of Jews & ChristiansLinus Daniel
The document discusses the culture of humility and hospitality shown by Abraham, Sarah, Rebecca, Abigail, Elisha, early Christians, and Jesus. It provides several biblical examples of guests being welcomed, having their feet washed, and being served food. The reflections encourage showing similar hospitality today, even when inconvenient, as this was part of Jewish and Christian culture. It emphasizes leadership as service rather than domination and encourages humility like Jesus showed by washing the disciples' feet.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

3. Timelines and interpreting prophecies
The prophecies of Isaiah are not in chronological order. The prophecies
covers vast periods of time and some times prophecies within a single
verse may span 1000s of years. Example:
Isa 9:6 For to us a child is born.
Isa 9:6 and the government will be on his shoulders.
Prophesied around 730 BC, the brith of the child has been fulfilled but the
government to be placed on his shoulder is yet to be fulfilled ~2730 years
since Isaiah penned it.

5. Isa 25:8 He has swallowed up death
forever! The Lord Yahweh will wipe
away tears from off all faces. He will
take the reproach of his people
away from off all the earth, for
Yahweh has spoken it.
A highlight of of the book of Isaiah are
prophecies of hope.
Isaiah gave many ‘Hope’ prophecies both
for Israel and foreigners.
Eternal life / defeat of death
No more mourning, crying, or pain
To be with the eternal invisible God for
evermore.
6. Isaiah’s prophecy of hope reiterated in
Revelation
Rev 7:17 for the Lamb who is in the
middle of the throne shepherds them, and
leads them to springs of life-giving waters.
And God will wipe away every tear from
their eyes.”
Rev 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from
their eyes. Death will be no
more; neither will there be mourning, nor
crying, nor pain, any more. The first things
have passed away.”
7. The Hope of Resurrection taught by Isaiah
Isa 26:19 Your dead
shall live. My dead
bodies shall arise.
Awake and sing, you
who dwell in the
dust; for your dew is
like the dew of herbs,
and the earth will cast
out the departed
spirits.
8. Hope concerning the latter days
Isa 2:2 It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s
house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be
raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.
Isa 2:3 Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the
mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach
us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall
go out, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem.
Isa 2:4 He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning
many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their
spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against
nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Isa 2:5 House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of
Yahweh.

10. Last days – When?
The last days began in the
first century with the
establishment of the new covenant
with hope in the returning Messiah:
Little children, it is the last
time: and as ye have heard that
antichrist shall come, even now are
there many antichrists; whereby we
know that it is the last time.
(1 John 2:18 KJV)
Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus
began to preach,
saying, “Repent, for the kingdom
of heaven is at hand.”
11. Latter days V/s Last days
The birth and redemptive work of the Christ ushers the hope of
the latter days and marks the beginning of last days
Cleopas (probably by his reading of the prophet Isaiah) expressed
his expectation of the Messiah thus:
Luk 24:21 But we had hoped that he was the one to
redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third
day since these things happened.
Almost every Christian generation has believed and
continues to believe they are in the last days and the end will
be in their lifetime…
But, God’s timelines are different from our timeline and
expectations.
12. Hints of delays
Jesus prophesied of a terrible time to come even
though he said the kingdom is at hand:
Luk 21:24 They will fall by the edge of the
sword, and will be led captive into all the
nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by
the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles
are fulfilled.
13. The desperate hope for Christ to
return in our lifetime
It is good to be aware of world events
Return of Israel, Two world wars, etc. are
significant events
but that does not mean Christ has to return
within 20 or 30 years
Even Jesus does not know his date of
return
Can we know the Seasons?
“It is not yours to
know times or seasons which
the Father placed in His own authority”
Jesus
14. Fig tree
Luk 21:29 He told them a parable. “See the
fig tree, and all the trees.
Luk 21:30 When they are already budding,
you see it and know by your own selves
that the summer is already near.
Luk 21:31 Even so you also, when you see
these things happening, know
that God’s Kingdom is near.
Luk 21:32 Most certainly I tell you, this
generation will not pass away
until all things are accomplished.
Jesus always preached Kingdom of God was near!
Mat 4:17
15. Even an angel from heaven cannot tell when the
end will be, could it be another 150 years or just
15 years away?
But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the
angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you don’t know when
the time is. (Mar 13:32,33)
Paul wrote to the Thessalonians nearly 2000 years ago:
“But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you
like a thief”
Like Cleopas and the Thessalonians we continue to hope in the sure
return of the Messiah
The message in Isaiah continues to give us HOPE
16. The return date of Christ - A painful
mystery
We may say he is coming in 1000, 1866, 1910, 1914, 2000, etc and
fail repeatedly. Let us trust Jesus on this:
for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t
expect him
Luk 12:39-40 But know this, that if the master of the house
had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have
watched, and not allowed his house to be broken
into. Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in
an hour that you don’t expect him.”
17. Newton (Died: March 31, 1727),
an excellent bible student who
gave a brilliant framework:
“The time times & half time do not end
before 2060. …. It may end later, but I see
no reason for its ending sooner. This I
mention not to assert when the time of the
end shall be, but to put a stop to the rash
conjectures of fancifull men who are
frequently predicting the time of the end,&
by doing so bring the sacred prophesies
into discredit as often as their
predictions fail. Christ comes as a thief in
the night, & it is not for us to know the
times & seasons which God hath put into
his own breast.“
19. We should lead a life of consistency irrespective
of his return date: (1Th 5:1-11)
“But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything
be written to you. For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord
comes like a thief in the night.
…
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. You
are all children of light, and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to
darkness, so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. For those
who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
But let’s, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the
breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of
salvation. For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation
through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we
should live together with him. Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up,
even as you also do.”
20. We know Christ will return therefore we ought
to watch our lives
Luk 11:35 Watch, then, that the light in you is not darkness.
Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation.
1Co 16:13, 14 Watch! Stand fast in the faith! Be men! Be strong! all your things be

Eph 5:15 Then watch how carefully you walk, not as unwise, but as wise ones
Col 2:8 Watch that there not be one robbing you through philosophy and empty
deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world,
and not according to Christ.
2Pe 3:17 Then beloved, you knowing beforehand, watch lest being led away by the
error of the lawless you fall from your own steadfastness.
Mar 13:37 And what I say to you, I say to all. Watch!
Rev 16:15 Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is the one watching

23. Judgment on Babylon thus:
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of Yahweh comes, cruel,
with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a
desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
Large scale judgment
Isa 2:12 For there will be a day of Yahweh of
Armies for all that is proud and arrogant, and for
all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:
Isa 2:13 For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are
high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,
Isa 2:14 For all the high mountains, for all the hills
that are lifted up,
Isa 2:15 For every lofty tower, for every fortified
wall,
Isa 2:16 For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all
pleasant imagery.
Isa 2:17 The loftiness of man shall be bowed
down, and the arrogance of men shall be brought
low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that
day.
24. Oba 1:15 For the day of
Yahweh is near all the
nations! As you have done, it
will be done to you. Your deeds
will return upon your own head.
Are you sure you want Christ to
return today?
Amo 5:18 “Woe to you who
desire the day of
Yahweh! Why do you long
for the day of Yahweh? It is
darkness, and not light.
25. Act 17:31 because he has fixed a day on
which he will judge the world in
righteousness by a man whom he has
appointed; and of this he has given
assurance to all by raising him from the
dead.”
Heb 10:37 For, “Yet a little while, and
the coming one will come and will
not delay;
Heb 10:38 but my righteous one shall
live by faith, and if he
shrinks back, my soul has no
pleasure in him.”
Heb 10:39 But we are not of those
who shrink back and are destroyed, but
of those who have faith and
preserve their souls.
26. With the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked
(Prophecy time breaks)
Isa 11:1 A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a
branch out of his roots will bear fruit.
Isa 11:2 Yahweh’s Spirit will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom
and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh.
…
Isa 11:4 but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide
with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth
with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his
lips he will kill the wicked.

27. Why the delay?
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as
some count slowness; but is patient with us, not
wishing that any should perish, but
that all should come to repentance. (2Pe 3:9)
