INTRODUCTION According to Hudson Literature is “ an expression of life through the medium of language.” Creative literature ,poetry, drama, novel,short story , one act play etc give us virtues and values of life. So that we can improve ourselves and the society. The ultimate aim of good lit. is to establish a society-where men live peacefully and happily.

CONCLUSION The teaching of literature is to let the learner derive the benefits of communicative and other activities for language improvement within the context of suitable work of literature.
