2. OUR YMCA A PLACE FOR ALL
Our Community Impact Statement:
“The Y is a key collaborative leader
improving the quality of life for all by
being the champion for Youth
Development, Healthy Living & Social
Responsibility.”.
3. FACTS
• Our Y has more than 2,200 annual members.
• 698 members are under 18.
• 558 members are over 62.
• 150+ program volunteers are engaged in community service
through the Y annually.
• $147,000 is provided annually in program, summer camp and
membership financial assistance to individuals throughout our
service area.
• 60 families served through our childcare and more than 80
families served by our afterschool programs.
• 400+ youth attended CLC Y Summer Camp in 2015.
• 5,000 meals served summer 2015 to campers through our
partnership with Healthy Lincoln County and the Boothbay
Region YMCA.
4. THE POWER OF IMAGINATION
HISTORY
• In 1973, a group of parents and business leaders had a vision to raise funds to build a
rec center where youth and teens could congregate and engage in sports.
• in 1990 the Rec Center was granted a full charter membership to the Y of the USA.
Over the next 25 years, the CLC Y has expanded its programs to include:
• exercise and workout facilities
• tennis courts
• team sports
• gymnastics
• after school
• childcare
• summer camp
In many ways, the CLC YMCA has become the heart of our community, bringing together
people of all ages and backgrounds, where they can participate in programs and services
focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
5. IMAGINE… the possibilities
To ensure the continued sustainability of the Y, it is
essential to renovate the current aging facility at the same
time the long awaited aquatic center is built.
Based on statistics gleaned from surveys from SEER
Analytics, the new aquatic center on its own will not attract
a sufficient membership to sustain the ongoing operations
and future of the CLC Y.
More importantly, the CLC YMCA must remain relevant to
meet the expectations and requirements of today’s
members. We must provide first-rate wellness and fitness
facilities as well as a modern aquatics center to grow and
maintain a healthy membership base that will successfully
sustain the operations of the entire facility into the future.
6. IMAGINE… the impact
• New Master Facility Plan
• New Fund Development Plan
• New Partnerships and Collaborations
• Transparent Communication
• Quality Programs to Meet Community Needs
A NEW
STRATEGIC
PLAN HAS

COMMUNITY.
7. IMAGINE… the growth!
