2. What do we stand for?
• ACS is an abbreviation for Afro- Caribbean
Society.
• This means that the society is focused on the
celebration of both the African and Caribbean
culture.
• It is the shared interest in this diversity that
links all of our members together.
3. Who are we for?
• Southampton ACS is for ANYONE who has an
interest in any aspect of the Afro-Caribbean
culture.
• Thus, the ACS is meant for EVERYONE.

13. Where have we been?
• The ACS has been around for three years.
• In this time we have: built solid links with our
student union and other various societies,
built links with other universities ,created our
own radio show, built links within the city, put
on great annual culture shows and great
entertainment throughout the year.
14. Where we intend to go?
• This year will see the ACS go further than it
has ever been.
• We intend to become more integrated into
the university, host bigger events and leave a
bigger mark than before.
