Yuca is a hardy evergreen shrub native to hot and dry parts of North America, Central America, and the West Indies. It grows up to 1.5m tall and 0.5m wide with leaves throughout the year. From July to August, it produces a large stalk of white or purplish bell-shaped flowers that are 6-7cm long. The scented flowers are hermaphroditic and pollinated at night by moths.
