2. What is light?
Light is a form of electromagnetic radiation that is visible to
the human eye. It travels in waves, moving at a speed of
approximately 299,792 kilometers per second in a vacuum.
Light behaves both as a particle and a wave, exhibiting
properties such as reflection, refraction, diffraction, and
interference. It encompasses a spectrum of wavelengths,
with each wavelength corresponding to a different color.
From the warm glow of the sun to the artificial illumination
of bulbs, light plays a fundamental role in our perception of
the world, enabling us to see and interpret our
surroundings. Beyond its practical utility, light also holds
significance in fields ranging from physics to art, shaping
our understanding of the universe and inspiring creativity.
