We know the dictionary definition of worship (a feeling, or devotion to a deity), and we have read John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth"; but, what does the Bible teach us about the subject of worship? This is a series of lessons that gets to the heart of worship and what it really means for Christians.

Slide 1: Title: Exploring the Mindfulness: Understanding Its Benefits
Slide 2: Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindfulness, defined as the conscious, non-judgmental observation of the present moment, has deep roots in Buddhist meditation practice but has gained significant popularity in the Western world in recent years. In today's society, filled with distractions and constant stimuli, mindfulness offers a valuable tool for regaining inner peace and reconnecting with our true selves. By cultivating mindfulness, we can develop a heightened awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and surroundings, leading to a greater sense of clarity and presence in our daily lives.
Slide 3: Benefits of Mindfulness for Mental Well-being
Practicing mindfulness can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, improving overall quality of life.
Mindfulness increases awareness of our emotions and teaches us to manage them better, leading to improved mood.
Regular mindfulness practice can improve our ability to concentrate and focus our attention on the present moment.
Slide 4: Benefits of Mindfulness for Physical Health
Research has shown that practicing mindfulness can contribute to lowering blood pressure, which is beneficial for heart health.
Regular meditation and mindfulness practice can strengthen the immune system, aiding the body in fighting infections.
Mindfulness may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and obesity by reducing stress and improving overall lifestyle habits.
Slide 5: Impact of Mindfulness on Relationships
Mindfulness can help us better understand others and improve communication, leading to healthier relationships.
By focusing on the present moment and being fully attentive, mindfulness helps build stronger and more authentic connections with others.
Mindfulness teaches us how to be present for others in difficult times, leading to increased compassion and understanding.
Slide 6: Mindfulness Techniques and Practices
Focusing on the breath and mindful breathing can be a simple way to enter a state of mindfulness.
Body scan meditation involves focusing on different parts of the body, paying attention to any sensations and feelings.
Practicing mindful walking and eating involves consciously focusing on each step or bite, with full attention to sensory experiences.
Slide 7: Incorporating Mindfulness into Daily Life
You can practice mindfulness in everyday activities such as washing dishes or taking a walk in the park.
Adding mindfulness practice to daily routines can help increase awareness and presence.
Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our needs and better manage our time, leading to balance and harmony in life.
Slide 8: Summary: Embracing Mindfulness for Full Living
Mindfulness can bring numerous benefits for physical and mental health.
Regular mindfulness practice can help achieve a fuller and more satisfying life.
Mindfulness has the power to change our perspective and way of perceiving the world, leading to deeper se

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

• God is Holy
• Man is sinful
• The cost of sin is huge
• God allows a substitution
• God alone provides the path/means of
substitution/reconciliation
• The path/means of reconciliation is very costly
and very specific (narrow).
• God in His grace provides a path of reconciliation
for all people (but only one).

15. Leviticus 2:1, The Grain Offering
• Leviticus 2:1 'Now when anyone presents a grain
offering as an offering to the LORD, his offering shall
be of fine flour, and he shall pour oil on it and put
frankincense on it.
• Leviticus 2:2 …handful of its fine flour…up in smoke
…by fire of a soothing aroma to the LORD.
• Leviticus 2:3 'The remainder…belongs to Aaron and his
sons…
• V1, offering of fine flour
• V4, baked unleavened cakes (not chocolate, no
frosting)
• V5, made on the griddle (broken up)
• V6, made in a pan
16. Leviticus 2:10, Grain Offerings
• A handful goes up in smoke on the altar as an
offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the
LORD. The rest is for the priests, and is a thing
most holy.
• No leaven or honey
• V12, Grain offerings of first fruits not burned
• V13, Every grain season with salt
17. Leviticus 2:11, No Leaven
• Leviticus 2:11 'No grain offering, which you
bring to the LORD, shall be made with leaven,
for you shall not offer up in smoke any leaven
or any honey as an offering by fire to the
LORD.
• Exodus 29:2 and unleavened bread and
unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and
unleavened wafers…
18. Leviticus 2:14, Firstfruits Beaten
• NAU Leviticus 2:14 'Also if you bring a grain offering of early
ripened things [CSB ESV NIV NKJ KJV use 'firstfruits‘] to the LORD, you shall
bring fresh heads of grain roasted in the fire, grits of new
growth, for the grain offering of your early ripened things.
• NKJ Leviticus 2:14 `If you offer a grain offering of your
firstfruits to the LORD, you shall offer for the grain offering
of your firstfruits green heads of grain roasted on the fire,
grain beaten from full heads.
• Why do you suppose that the “firstfruits” offering was
“beaten?”
• Christ our firstfruits was beaten
• Matthew 26:67 Then they spat in His face and beat Him
with their fists…
• 1 Corinthians 15:23 …Christ the first fruits…
19. Leviticus 2:16, Firstfruits Beaten
Burned w/ Frankincense
• NKJ Leviticus 2:16 `Then the priest shall burn
the memorial portion: part of its beaten grain
and part of its oil, with all the frankincense, as
an offering made by fire to the LORD.
• Burn up the memorial portion of beaten grain
with its oil and frankincense.
• John 6:48 "I am the bread of life.
• Matthew 2:11 …they presented to Him gifts of
gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
22. Leviticus 3:1, A Peace-offering
Jerusalem Inspiration
• Leviticus 3:1 'Now if his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings, if he is
going to offer out of the herd [cattle] , whether male or female, he shall
offer it without defect before the LORD.
• Today's verse describes a peace-offering in the Temple times, known as
a "korban sh’lamim." The name comes from the Hebrew root "shalom"
- peace - because it has a spiritual ability to increase peace and unity in
the world. It is offered voluntarily by a person who sincerely desires to
express love and gratitude to the Almighty. It is perhaps not a
coincidence that it is the only offering that is not restricted to the
Temple, but may be eaten anywhere in the city of Jerusalem. The
Hebrew name for Jerusalem, Yerushalayim, also has the word shalom at
its root, and is beautifully known as the "ir shel shalom," city of peace.
We pray for the time when peace and unity, symbolized by the korban
sh'lamim, will return to Jerusalem and all of Israel.
23. Leviticus 3:4, The Liver
• Leviticus 3:4 and the two kidneys with the fat
that is on them, which is on the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he shall remove with the
kidneys.
• Leviticus refers to the “liver” more NAS X’s than
any other book (4 X’s more). 9 X’s in Leviticus 3-9.
Why is God concerned about the liver?
• Maybe it’s to draw our attention to it with
modern understanding of the liver?
24. TODAY'S CREATION MOMENT
YOUR BUSY LIVER
• An adult’s liver is about the size of a football and weighs about
three pounds, making it the body’s largest internal organ. Tucked
neatly beneath the ribs, your liver performs more than 500
different tasks. It is a vital link between your heart, lungs and
digestive system.
Inside the liver is a bewildering

• substances are needed in the blood, they are supplied. Useless
chemicals are broken down into useful chemicals. Proteins are made in
the liver, blood-clotting factors are corrected, hormone balances are
maintained, and poisons are neutralized. If substances are needed to
fight an infection, they are produced and added to the blood.
• The liver also stores vitamins and minerals and prepares itself to
provide your body with quick energy when you need it. In addition, the
liver makes bile, which is essential for digestion.
• Structures like the liver have caused many evolutionists to abandon the
idea that life is a result of millions of years of accidents. The liver is just
too well designed and integrated into the body to have been produced
by purposelessness and mindlessness. Surely it makes more sense to
acknowledge a supremely wise Creator Who loves His Creation,
including you and me.

26. Evolution And The Liver
• It’s a good idea to ask an evolutionist, “Which
evolved first, the heart or the blood?”
• You could also ask “How long do you think life
existed until the liver evolved?”
• Not to mention lungs, veins, arteries, kidneys,
spleen, coagulation, hemorrhage.
27. Leviticus 3:6,
Peace Offering From The Flock
• Leviticus 3:6 'But if his offering for a sacrifice of
peace offerings to the LORD is from the flock [sheep or

28. Leviticus 3:16, all fat is the LORD'S
• Leviticus 3:16 'The priest shall offer them up in

• Leviticus 7:23 "Speak to the sons of Israel,
saying, 'You shall not eat any fat from an ox, a

• Many cultures (middle East, Inuits, and my
dad) consider the fat to be the best part.

• Leviticus 4:2 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'If a person sins
unintentionally in any of the things which the LORD has
commanded not to be done, and commits any of them,
• “If a person sins unintentionally” there must be a blood
sacrifice, God changes not.
• James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles
in one point, he has become guilty of all.
• Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and
abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers
and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns
with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
• What about well intentioned, religious people (Molech,Mary)?
• Romans 10:2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for
God, but not in accordance with knowledge.
33. Leviticus 4:12, Outside The Camp
• Leviticus 4:12 that is, all the rest of the bull, he is

• Leviticus 4:13 'Now if the whole congregation of Israel
commits error and the matter escapes the notice of the
assembly, and they commit any of the things which the
LORD has commanded not to be done, and they become
guilty;
• KJV Leviticus 4:13 …sin through ignorance…

• You can try the “everybody was doing it,
ignorance, unintentional, erred, forgot, didn’t
know, truck blocked the sign, necessity, or I

over for speeding.
• You’re still guilty! Ignorance of the law is no
excuse.

bile, which is essential for digestion.
• Structures like the liver have caused many evolutionists to abandon the idea that life is a result of millions of years of accidents. The liver is just too

• Prayer:
• I thank You, Lord, for the wonderful way in which You have made me and for the way in which You keep my life going. Help me to dedicate my life to
You, not only in word, but also in deed. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
