The Mahalakshmi Foundation provides residential care for 38 destitute and underprivileged children between the ages of LKG and 9th standard. It spends Rs. 4,300 per day on food, Rs. 3,000 per month on hygiene, and Rs. 1,50,000 annually on school fees and educational aids. The foundation is requesting a donation to support its services of caring for these children through education, health care, meals, and celebrating festivals.

Respected Sir / Madam, Greetings from MAHALAKSHMI FOUNDATION, Avadi,Chennai.
Our Organisation MAHALAKSHMI FOUNDATION established in 2000 and registered under the Charitable
Trust Act. We also registered under Income tax Act 1961 and have eligible for income tax exemption
(permanent certificate) for donations to MAHALAKSHMI FOUNDATION regarding the perpetuity
approval u/s 80-G, as per the amendments. (DIT(E)No.2(841)/02-03 dated 08-10-2009) More over we
registered in Home Ministry under FCRAct enable to get funds from abroad. We have the member
organization of NGO Portal of Planning Commission, Govt. of India. The Foundation providing services to
mankind from above permanent address.
We are providing residential care for the Destitute and underprivileged Children. There are 38 children
including 24 boy and 14 girls were provided residential care including Education, Health care etc., There
are 5 female care takers on honorarium basis and 3 office staff & volunteers for day today execution,
fundraising, We are providing daily Breakfast, Lunch, dinner, Milk and Snacks in the evening. We
celebrate the festival days in grand manner with Special meals and rituals. We are giving materials for
good hygienic practices like daily bath, washing hands before & after eating, defecation, washing cloths
as well as peaceful sleep. We have moral and medical support by Dr.Ravindran and Dr. Rajan for the
medical care of the children who affected with malnutrition and seasonal illness.
Our Children in this Saranalayam are studying from LKG to 9th Standard. 11 children are placed in
Private matriculation School, 21 children in Govt. Schools. The remaining 6 kids are in our orphanage
Home. We are admitting the children in private or Govt schools on the basis of their age and education
status at the time of admission .
We are in need of moral and material support for the above services through the MAHALAKSHMI
FOUNDATION. We have spending Rs. 4300 per day for food, Rs.3000 per month for Hygienic purpose,
Rs.1,50,000 annually for School fees and educational aids.
