Letter To Bon Jovi In The Hall Of Fame
I am Rielie Sawyer from Cocalico High School. I love music and i am writing this letter for a couple reasons. One, i would love it if my band was in
the hall of fame. Two, i am doing this for a school project for my Music nine class. I nominating the band "Bon Jovi" for the category "Performers" and
i would love if they made it into the Hall of Fame.
Bon Jovi came together and formed in 1983 but due to some problems with each member the band sadly went their separate ways in 2014. They have
many Musical Genre & Styles to be described as rock, techno–pop, pop metal, metal lite. Some people have used many adjectives to describe them.
Some of them were that they have an organic sound, rockabilly twang, they have some disco strings, and they are strong, and vibrant. They came
together and began touring as an opening act with their first album "Bon Jovi" with, .38 Special, Ted Nugent, Eddie Money, Judas Priest, and the ZZ
Top. From There they became big and released there first but not last Album. Some of their Important Albums were "BonJovi", "7800 degrees",
"Fahrenheit", and "Lost Highway". Some of their Important songs or hits were "Wanted Dead or alive", "You give a love a bad... Show more content on

The band made other performers break out into other rock and solo careers. Many who followed got into their same types of music as the Bon Jovi
band. They have changed and influenced popular music in many ways. They won a grammy award. They influenced a lot of bands and solo singers
but some of them were Mr. Big, Aerosmith, Winger, Extreme, AC/DC, Saxon. They have changed and influenced popular music in many ways. They
ushered in the new era of pop–metal and slowly wiped away the era of rock guitars of the 80's. The award they won was "The Best Country
Collaboration With Vocals", with the song "Who Says you can't go home", they won this award in

The Panera Bread Company: A Case Study
Panera Bread Company Background
The Panera Bread Company began in 1981 as Au Bon Pain Co., Inc. Founded by Ron Shaich and Louis Kane, the company thrived along the east coast
of the United States and internationally throughout the 1980's and 1990's and became the dominant operator within the bakery–cafГ© category. In the
early 1990's, Saint Louis Bread company, a chain of 20 bakery–cafes were acquired by the Au Bon Pain Co. Following this purchase, the company
redesigned the newly acquired company and increased unit volumes by 75%. This new concept was named Panera Bread. Top management chose to

How To Achieve Goals In Life Essay
Some people are successful because they are destined to be such. But most people are more successful because they are determined to reach this
goal. We just know what we want and how to achieve it. You would probably have laid out your plans for your life already, and that you would
exhaust all efforts just to attain what you desire. But sometimes, we question, how come no matter how hard you try to perfect things the way you
planned it, circumstances would not allow it? You start thinking, were your efforts not enough to achieve your goals? Or maybe it is just not meant to
be? Some people may be too controlling of their lives and get burnt out fast. When this happens, your mindset tends to shift and they turn into a
complete opposite of what they used to be.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Just when you think you are good, you can actually be better. Never settle for mediocre, but try surprising yourself and reach far beyond what you
can imagine. Your success in life does not rely on fate, but it depends on the effort you put in achieving your goals in life. The quote has a similar
theme with the first two lines of the second stanza in the poem "If". It is okay to dream and visualize your goals in life. But do not let it control you
without making it into reality. In life, you may experience the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows, which will both teach you to become a
better person. Know that we all have our strengths and limitations, which defines who we are. Correlating the quote, the poem "If" and the poem "Still
I Rise" altogether, they all speak about knowing one's self serving–worth, not relying on chances or what other people dictate, but rather making your
dream into reality despite the difficulties you will face in life. You make your choice and you will be responsible for whatever actions you

The Seasons and What They Mean in Japanese Culture
In Noh there are many things that are significant, and that have deeper meanings. For instance the simple way that they walk, sing, and move all mean
something more. While doing the presentations on a Noh play I noticed something beautiful about the play that I had chosen. Spring was mentioned a
lot, it had many cameos in the play. In Yuya the entire back story of the play is the discussions of going to see thecherry blossoms. Spring in Japan
means a whole lot more than just another season. It means new life, and new beginnings, a way for family to come together and start anew. So
while taking this course I really picked up on the seasonal aspect of Noh whether it be spring, autumn, summer, or winter. Each setting gave a new
feeling of how people reacted, and it's true in real life also. So in this essay I will be discussing all of the seasons and what they mean in Japanese
culture, with some symbolic things and Noh examples also. Spring also known as haru is the first of four seasons in Japan, from March to May. The
significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the simplicity
and the beauty of life. It just shows that even though life is sometimes wonderful and beautiful, it can also be very short and to always remember that
we only have so long. When the cherry blossom trees bloom for a short time each year, they show that very well since they are so beautiful but

George Morton
The first song that serves as a musical tribute is "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi. This song accurately describes the personality of one of the main
characters in State of Fear, George Morton. Morton is a well known millionaire and an avid supporter of an organization known as the National
Environmental Research Fund, also known as NERF. When one of Morton's friends, NERF founder Nicholas Drake, calls Morton's lawyer and asks
about the state of his mental health and whether or not he will be attending an important fundraiser, the true colors of George Morton begin to show: ""I
want you to promise me you'll deliver him." "Nick," Evans said. "George does what he wants." "That's what I'm afraid of."" (Crichton 134). This

This song does an extremely good job of spelling out Professor John Kenner's most prominent characteristic. John Kenner is a mysterious man whom
many people feel antipathy towards, including Nicholas Drake. These negative outlooks soon go away, however, when Kenner saves practicing
attorney Peter Evans and George Morton's personal assistant, Sarah, from a gunpoint robbery in the residence of Mr. Morton: "And to Evan's
astonishment, she stepped across the body of the fallen attacker to give a grateful hug to John Kenner, professor of Geoenvironmental Engineering at
MIT." (Crichton 187). This quote shows the aftermath of the attempted robbery, as Sarah and Peter realize that their savior was none other than the
mysterious John Kenner. The sudden surge of gratefulness that resulted from them being saved is a smack in the face в є (Metaphor) that allowed
their negative opinions of Kenner to be erased, leaving behind an entirely new and positive outlook as a result of his prowess. After being saved by
Kenner, Sarah and Peter begin to regret ever judging him without ever actually seeing him in the flesh. They realize that the ominous descriptions that
they have heard about him are not entirely true, and they see him as he really is; as a hero. The song "Hero" does an excellent job of portraying John
Kenner as it talks about the importance of a hero: "I need a hero to save my life, I need a hero just in time."

The Swarm of Paparazzi
Paparazzi Paparazzi are people that celebrities are always swarmed by and they can become too aggressive to get that one perfect picture, but why?
Paparazzi are photographers that go far beyond what may be appropriate to others to get these photos, whether it is crashing a formal party,
following celebrities in a car, or even breaking into the home of the celebrities. Paparazzi can get a large amount of money for these photos that they
sell to tabloids that want these sometimes embarrassing and cruel photos. Paparazzi can become too close for comfort and they should have laws and
restrictions on how far they can go to get the latest pictures and news because the celebrities have no privacy and due to the past events within society.
The intention of the paparazzi is to take the best photo that will sell for the greatest amount of money. However these ordinary people still have to abide
by the laws that the rest of the world lives by, but unfortunately they never seem to follow these crucial and necessary restrictions. The people within
society never thought that paparazzi could get this bad to the point in which celebrities were pressing charge, getting into full scale brawls, and
breaking laws. The paparazzi of the past never thought that the present–day paparazzi would be so vicious. "The paparazzi care about sales above and
beyond all other considerations" (Howe 17). This is far beyond a true statement, it's a fact.
A man by the name of Ron Galella once said, "If

Question 1
How has Panera bread established a unique position in the restaurant industry? How has this unique position contributed to its success?
By developing various approaches Panera Bread has established a unique position in the restaurant industry. Firstly they observed that customers always
demand for high quality food and quick services. This approach of customers gave Panera Bread an opportunity to mix two different concepts of
restaurant industry that are fast food and casual dining. By doing this they gave heat to a new category of fast casual. This category provided the
consumer an alternate and helped Panera to capture advantages of both categories at the same time. This new classification has made Panera Bread's
position attractive as well as helped its prosperity. They did a lot of things to differentiate them from their rivals such as adding specialty food,... Show

How significant are these barriers?
Economies of scale
The first barrier that Panera Bread has created for potential competitors is economies of scale. They increased the size of their operation by growing
from 369 owned companies and franchise units to 630 today. Such a vast expansion allows them to negotiate discounts when buying food and non–food
products for its restaurants.
Product differentiation
Panera Bread has created another barrier that is product differentiation. It is a strong brand with food and bakery products that people like. They did a
lot of things to differentiate them from their rivals such as adding specialty food, attractive menus and new time suggesting of specialty food (chill–out
time).
These barriers are significant because they are not only entry barriers for potential competitors but they are also the core competency of Panera Bread.
They need to sustain their competitive advantage before it becomes a competitive necessity and every market players starts replicating

They have the ability to take this ownership and make it their own. Many of the managers promoted to this level of ownership will accept it willingly

also diminishes the value of open communication. Communication is an essential ingredient in all relationships. By instituting the district managers'

vision of working together to succeed. The Partner/Managers are missing a meaningful piece of the pie. The Partner/Managers are losing the

Essay On Video Games
There is this new video game I have started playing. It's called Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. This game is a multiplayer shooter in which a
hundred players parachute onto an island and fight to the death. When you first land, you got to find weapons, ammunition, or any supplies that
might aid you. You can either play solo, in a duo, or run with a squad of four people. The main goal is to be the last man or group standing. First,
you have to pick how you're going to play; either by yourself, with someone else, or with a group. If you are not playing with friends that you know,
you might not want to play duo or squads. You will be at a disadvantage when matched up with groups that work well together. So when you first load

These items boost movement speed and slowly regain a little bit of health. Once you got all your gear, it's time to start moving towards the circle.
There's a large white circle called the Playzone. There is a blue circle that slowly closes in on the white circle that deals damage to anyone caught
in it. The way the game works is that the circle closes in to force players to engage each other. Whenever the circle gets smaller, you want to hustle
and make sure you are in the middle. Either hide in a house or in a bush. Never engage anyone unless you are sure that you are able to eliminate
them because other players will be drawn to you. Just play it cool and don't panic when you see people. Also, there is supply drops that parachute
into the game. They emit red smoke to let you see where they are. These drops contain top notch gear, but they attract plenty of players so be
careful. A good strategy is to watch of the supply drop instead of looting it that way you can pick off players going to it if you choose so. Finally,
when there is about twenty players left, things start to get tense. Since the circle is so small at this point, there is going

The Bon MarchГ© Essay
The Bon MarchГ© Michael Miller's book, The Bon MarchГ©: Bourgeois Culture and the Department Store, 1869–1920, is an expansive and interesting
look back on a era of Parisian history that is best represented by its then–current trend and social innovation, the department store. The book gives a
fascinating account of the store from its beginning to eventual common place status in 1914. The book gives an insight on the factors in which the
store saw success, such as the management, the labor, and new marketing. It also gives light to the social factors that made the store possible (i.e
education and economy). Bon MarchГ© is a book about the change in the 19th century French market and the effect it then had on the bourgeoisie

Aristide and Marguerite established the new Bon MarchГ© with a managerial tactic of benevolence to answer a need to maintain control over the
store's performance and progress. The employees of the Bon MarchГ© were some of the best paid employees in all of Paris, as well did they receive
great in–house benefits. In 1876, Aristide Boucicaut announced the establishment of a financial fund for employees. This was designed to make the
employees apart of his "house," or family. The methods proved so effective that even the Boucicauts' eventual successors (though most having made
their way up the ranks of the store) continued their system. In part three, Miller gives life to the Bon MarchГ©; the store slowly but surely becomes
a part of the bourgeoisie class and social culture, giving them such practices as displaying art, selling nouveautГ©s, a library of books, and a venue for
concerts. The store attracts a certain kind of upper–class. They wished to be able to take part in something as close to the middle–class as possible.
The store added more middle–class employees and merchandising items that personified middle–class values; the Bon MarchГ© helped construct the
new idea of how the middle–class looked and acted. The Bon MarchГ© is a well–researched, well–drafted, and well–organized book of whose
argumentation is linear and sequential. The book would excite business historians with the ideas of merchandising

Jon had written "Runaway" and recorded a demo of the song at
his cousin's studio. A local radio station started giving the song "Runaway" some
serious airtime. The success of the song "Runaway" got Jon Bon Jovi noticed and he
realized he needed more than just back–up musicians like that he had used for the song
"Runaway." This is when Richie Sambora and the other group members signed on
and the band came together as a whole. Also this is when Polygram Record's
executive, Derek Shulman, changed John Bongiovi's name to Jon Bon Jovi. The band's
self–titled debut came out January 21, 1984. The album was filled with the group's now–
signature power ballads and hooked–filled tunes underscored by soaring guitar riffs
and well–crafted melodies. The album was a rugged soulful collection of songs about
how tough it is being a teenager. The album went gold and sales were over 500,000.
Bon Jovi released their follow–up album, 7800 Farenheit, in April 1985 which
included the hit singles "Only Lonely" and "Silent Night." This album sold equally
as well as the first album. The band then started touring as openers for the Scorpions,
Kiss, and Judas Priest. This helped the band build up a considerable fan base and to give
them a powerful stage presence. Bon Jovi then released the band's third album, Slippery

side of the road to have his last lunch, he saw an old man hobbling up the road. "Howdy do, sir! Would you like to stop and share my lunch?"
Because Jack was raised to be polite to the elderly. The old man, stopped and leaned on his walking stick to catch his breath. He looked like he was
a hundred years old. "Thank you kindly son, I believe I will do just that. What brings you out on this long road on a beautiful day?" So Jack told
him of his intentions to go win him a wife and the story the Tinker told about the rabbit. The old man was munching on his half of the muffin, and

knapsack, with stains and some mud on it, and reached deep down inside. He felt around, and frowned, and finally came out with a little wooden drill.
It looked like the kind a carpenter would use to bore a hole in a plank or a tree, but it was carved from wood like a toy. It sure wouldn't drill a hole in

Most girls don't pay money to roll around on the ground with sweaty guys. Yet that is exactly what I did this last July. No, it's not what you're
thinking; I went to wrestling camp. Wrestling is a sport that I've always wanted to try, but my shyness and insecurity held me back. This year I
decided that I will no longer allow other people's opinions affect my own decisions. Joining wrestling is the first major step I'm taking to change my
life. "You want to do...wrestling? As in...wrestle?" This is the initial reaction I got from Coach McGuffin when I told him I wanted to wrestle this next
winter. Not exactly the level of enthusiasm I was looking for. His demeanor changed in a couple moments though, and he suggested that I go to camp

After the conditioning drills, we learned a few moves, then paired up and practiced them. "You'll be fine," coach said "you just have to be
aggressive." I nodded, but inside I secretly prayed that I wouldn't get stuck with a rabid beast of a wrestler. Apparently the wrestling gods weren't
listening. The first girl I was paired with wasn't foaming at the mouth, but her intimidation factor was still quite high. She had the quads of an
Olympian, and her biceps were so thick I'm pretty sure she could bench press me. To top it all off, she was sporting a face mask reminiscent of
Hannibal Lecter (apparently she had broken her nose in a match last season). Her arms of steel wrapped around me, and when she took me down I
felt like I'd been clotheslined by The Rock. The guys on the team were watching, and I saw them all collectively cringe as my face got slammed into
the mat. Fun stuff. After this short but painful crash course in wrestling basics, it was time for some live matches. I had one clear cut objective: Don't
get pinned! Two seconds into my first match and my face got to know the mat quite intimately. My philosophy quickly changed to: Don't get pinned in
thirty seconds...don't get pinned in ten seconds...don't get neck snapped in three different places. Let's just say I didn't exactly fulfill my goals. I did
have one moment of glory however. Enter Eric: Cocky, annoying freshman, who is unable to shut up for more than thirty

Analyzing Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On A Prayer
Bon Jovi's "Livin' On A Prayer," is a great song and my favorite out of this unit. The song opens up with a grand sound. The drum roll at the beginning
creates an epic and intense tone. The vocalist creates an edgy texture to the chorus. Throughout the song, the band creates different parts and solos that
added elements to the track, which makes the song fun and not boring. Although this classic metal rock, I believe I hear synthesizers or drum machines.
There are some pop elements to the Bon Jovi's song. If I am correct, Richie Sambora said a small statement during the opening riff. In my opinion, I
think the lyrics make the song a little softer. I consider this song inspirational and motivational. The song is about staying strong and working

The Great Bargains And Superior Organization
Ah yes, Value Village, the top thrift store chain in North America; known for it's great bargains and superior organization, this rank isn't surprising!
But, as an employee, I can safely say there is an underlying darkness to Value Village's seemingly cheery, clean aura. After working a long shift, the
industrial sized thrift store becomes a liminal space; a no man's land where there is no time, only the constant feelings of annoyance caused by the
strange people that shop here. Much like how in Dante's Divine Comedy there is several circles of Hell, at Value Village there is also several circles of

Slightly less common than the Toucher, the Follower is still prevalent and just as unwanted, like a common cold. I would compare the Follower to
a shadow, but he is much more obvious and bad at hiding. The Follower often is the reason an employee feels eyes burning holes in the back of
their head while walking around the store. If the employee catches the Follower in his act of stalking, she is usually met with him either scuttling
away like a cockroach through the racks of clothes or he stands stiff as a board and is witnessed in all his glory. The Follower, when spotted, is
generally a short man in his 30s with pale skin, dark eye bags that frame his crazy eyes, and wearing an outfit that vaguely resembles the latest hipster
trend. When the somewhat freaked out employee asks if they can assist him, his freshly unshaved jaw moves in a way that resembles a "no" and he
quickly makes a u–turn through the door and out of the store.
Though the Follower is the creepiest of the creepy guys, the How–Much–to–Buy Guy takes the cake for being the worst. My one encounter with this
rare specimen was on a dark, hectic evening during a Seniors' Sale day, when I had been given the most important duty of being main cashier. An

Best Hurricane Shutters
How To Choose The Best Hurricane Shutters For Your Home When you live in an area where hurricanes are possible, it's a good idea to prepare
for one in advance, especially when it comes to protecting your windows. You don't want to be frantically trying to find plywood and cut it into
window coverings at the last minute. Hurricane shutters are worth the investment since you can have them already installed and ready to go as
soon as you need them. There are a few choices when it comes to hurricane shutters. Here are some tips for how to choose the best ones for your
home. Shutters That Are Controlled Remotely Many hurricane shutters have to be installed or rolled down manually. However, you can also buy
shutters that operate with a remote or wall switch. These also have a battery backup so you can operate them even when the power is out. You can
also turn your tablet or smartphone into a remote control and close the shutters if you're away from home. If you have a vacation home in hurricane
country, these shutters would be ideal. They are also a good choice if you want to open and close them from inside your house so you can peek outside
and avoid going outside in the rain to unlock the shutters.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All you have to do when a hurricane approaches is drop the shutters and lock them in place. These can be made of metal, vinyl, or wood. When the
storm passes, the shutters are rolled back to a box above or to the sides of the windows until they are needed again, or they are propped back up on
their legs. If you don't like the appearance of shutters that roll into boxes, you can get decorative shutters with louvers instead that add a little shade and
glamour to your home when they're not protecting you from a hurricane. Shutters You Have To

Essay on Power and Manipulation in The Ladies Paradise
Power and Manipulation in The Ladies Paradise
As the world has grown throughout the centuries, females have generally been under the domination of males. This remained culturally entrenched
until the late nineteenth century, when women began to appear in public more often and also began to join alongside men in the work force. In the
network of employees and employers in the emerging institution of the Parisian department store, men and women depended on each other for survival
in the workplace. Such interdependence is a microcosm of the bourgeois French society during that time, which Emile Zola wrote of in The Ladies'
Paradise, the eleventh book of the Rougon–Macquart series detailing middle–class life. According to Professor Brian ... Show more content on

Likewise, the owner of the fictional department store in The Ladies' Paradise, Octave Mouret, builds his visions of a prosperous business. He
inherits a small draper's shop and, using his pecuniary power, buys more space to expand the shop. The end result is the Ladies' Paradise, a
gargantuan store enveloping all of the original small specialty shops, creating a retail monopoly in Paris.
In order to generate astonishing revenue, Mouret's Ladies' Paradise employs techniques to create spontaneous desire by playing on customers' sense of
sight, which would help women, who make up the majority of department store customers, realize their independent desires for femininity. The first
thing one sees when one walks into a brightly lit department store is the displays. In an appeal to his customers' sight, Mouret throws brightly colored
scarves in heaping piles on a display in the front of the store. According to Elaine Abelson, "Subtlety was not an attribute of merchants in the late
nineteenth century. If there was color used, it appeared in massive displays" (44). Such flamboyancy attracts women wishing to release their own
creativity, suppressed by the male–dominated society. The lack of harmony in the displays portrays Mouret's belief "...that customers should have sore
eyes by the time they [leave] the shop"

Death Is Inevitable And Death
Death is a part of life no matter which way you look at it. With death, there is a lot to consider. Death is not inevitable but in a way it is a sort of
burden on the loved ones left behind. There is grief and a ton of planning involved which only leads to extra stress. One of the most important parts of
the death ritual is for most people the obituary. When looking at obituaries and the styles and formats that they are in, you can compare and contrast the
traditions and values of both newspaper and memorial website obituaries.
Like mentioned before, death is inevitable and death is also a heartache and disaster for the loved ones left behind. Not only do your loved ones
have to grieve over the decease, but during this time, they also have to plan a wake, funeral, and some type of resting place. The resting place can be
in a cemetery in a coffin, or it can be cremation. With death comes a lot of burdens especially if the deceased was not prepared to die. Even today with
the all technology we have people still die and we still have a conventional way of dealing with it.
During the grieving process and preparing everything, it is also customary for the person who is still here to write an obituary for the deceased. In an
obituary, people can write a story about the person, describe their accomplishments, or in some cases, just have the announcement of the death.
Obituaries are usually written so that people who were close to the deceased can know what this person died from,

Music Scene : Bon Iver
The other day I was scrolling through an article that listed hundreds of indie bands along with related artists. As I scrolled, I noticed something odd.
About every other band had one related artist in common: Bon Iver. I scrolled more. "Bon Iver, Bon Iver, Bon Iver."
This guy has wrecked the indie music scene.
Bon Iver (who 's real name is Justin Vernon) has clearly left a mark, or even a scar, on the genre. No one is quite like him, yet everyone is inspired by
him. Due to his unmatchable voice, deeply layered instrumentals, and breathtakingly visual lyrics, Bon Iver has completely wrecked and rebuilt his
style, forcing anyone similar to him to be a footnote in his musical doctrine.
But is all the praise and respect deserved? People ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This brings me to another interesting thing about this artist, which is the ways in which he writes his lyrics. It is always better, in any form of writing,
to not tell the audience how to feel, but to describe the things that make you feel that way, and then let them come to those feelings naturally. Bon Iver
does this to the highest degree.
For example, in the opening track, "Flume," Vernon writes,
"Only love is all maroon
Lapping lakes like leery loons
Leaving rope burns
Reddish rouge"
If we break this down, we unravel many aspects of Bon Iver as a writer. First of all, we get an extremely colorful image, not of a literal scene, but
more of an emotional state. He writes that love leaves rope burns, which appear "reddish rouge." We could assume that "rouge" is referring to
makeup, since the other option would be it meaning the color red, and that would be repetitive. With this makeup detail, we get the image of the
soft cheeks of a young woman, symbolizing beauty and tenderness. Yet, it is rope burns that have this flair of beauty and tenderness, and it is love
that is embodied in the pulling away of the chord. Thus, we can say that love has pulled away with all the coarseness of rope and all the tenderness
of a young woman; it is painful and beautiful. Notice that Vernon does not write, "She left me, and was painful, but I still loved her." Instead, he
details an image that makes him feel the same way. In addition, this line exhibits a very pleasing

PANERA BREAD
HISTORY
Panera Bread started in 1981 as Au Bon Pain Co., Inc. Founded by Louis Kane and Ron Shaich; the company prospered along the east coast of the
United States and internationally throughout the 1980s and 1990s and became the dominant operator within the bakery–cafe category. In 1993, Au Bon

The company then managed a comprehensive re–staging of Saint Louis Bread Co. Between 1993 and 1997 average unit volumes increased by 75%.
Ultimately the concept's name was changed to Panera Bread. By 1997, it was clear that Panera Bread had the potential to become one of the leading
brands in the nation. In order for Panera Bread to reach its potential, it would require all of the company's financial and management resources. In May
1999, all of Au Bon Pain Co., Inc.'s business units were sold, with the exception of Panera Bread, and the company was renamed Panera Bread. Since
those transactions were completed, the company's stock has grown thirteen–fold and over $1 billion in shareholder value has been created. Panera

Case Study : Panera Bread Company
Case 8: Panera Bread Company (2010): Still Rising Fortunes? Case Analysis Executive Summary Synopsis of the Case By 2010, Panera Bread
Company (PBC) stood ahead of the crowd; once a pioneer in the fast casual concept of dining, the organization has now far surpassed its competition
(Vincelette & Fogarty, 2010). Enduring economic challenges that only strengthened the organizations position as industry leaders while competitors
struggled to exist, Panera's co–founder and majority shareholder Ronald Shaich pushed through the years with strategic plans, implementation, and
actions (Wheelen, Hunger, Hoffman, & Bamford, 2015), that led to success in creation of the "fast–casual" innovation of dining (Vincelette & Fogarty,
2010). The concept offered consumers healthier, quick dining choices in comparison to the outdated version of fast food chains (Vincelette & Fogarty,

inviting, comfortable atmosphere (Vincelette & Fogarty, 2010), warm and friendly welcoming employees, and product and menu diversifications
contributed to Panera's appeal (Rowe, 2006). This made consumers wanting to come back (Vincelette & Fogarty, 2010), therefore adding to the quality
and value of the company's organizational structure and social culture (Wheelen, et al, 2015). Shaich's vision used strategy as a means to expand the

Creating A Decent Job At Panera Bread Essay
Finding a decent job, especially in the recessionary atmosphere that followed the 2008 financial crisis, can be a challenge. Companies moving

Vernon A Famous Woman Analysis
It's been five long years since American indie folk band Bon Iver last released an album. Needless to say, their new album, 22, A Million, has been
long awaited. But this album strays far away from their usual soothing, folky sounds. Departing from the soft, acoustic melodies that comprised their
first two studio albums: For Emma, Forever Ago and Bon Iver, Bon Iver; 22, A Million takes a dramatic risk. Bon Iver tried something completely
innovative and experimental. The result is a sound like you've never heard before... and it works magnificently. A common complaint ofmusic
nowadays – specifically music by well–known artists – is that everything sounds alike. Critics protest that popular music has become homogenous and
formulaic. While that's ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In many songs it is pitched up and down and layered upon itself, to create the illusion of a group of people singing harmoniously together. His voice
generates a haunting echo against the backdrop of digital effects, percussion, and saxophone crooning, creating a completely unique sound. Vernon
isn't the first artist to step outside the box when it comes to taking musical risks. Many of the "greats," such as Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Neil
Young all risked losing their established fan–base in attempt to take their talents to the next level. This led to the production of some of their best, most
innovative music, created by pushing the limits. You can hear the influence of these notable artists, and others, in 22, A Million. Influences of
Radiohead and of Frank Ocean can be picked up throughout the album. Influences of Frank are especially prevalent in the song "8 (circle)," which
contains a confessional–like delivery of the lyrics, similar to songs on Frank's Channel Orange, and (more recently) Blonde. Prominent musicians have
been praising Vernon too. Adele posted a picture of the new album cover to Instagram, with the caption: "Bon Iver's music is one of the true loves of

and I believe this poem is about, immigrants and how they have a choice to leave their country or not. I believe "The door makes no promises"
means nobody is going to promise you that you are going to have a wonderful, joyous life in the new country, and it is only a door, to go through or
not to go through. Re–examining the title "Prospective Immigrants Please Note", it becomes clear that the poem addresses "immigrants" to wisely

Bullets begin making their way through the metal walls forcing Caroline to run behind a desk waiting for her chance to gain the upper hand. The
group of men stop firing their weapons and everything goes quiet. Caroline peers out of the dirt lined window and sees the man in the circle has
sprung back to life. The group of men all lye on the ground around the man in pools of their own blood and bullet casings. Caroline holsters her
weapon runs out of the office and down a flight of metal stairs. The man in the circle looks at Caroline as if hes looking at an old friend and
patiently waits for her to say something to him. "What happened?" "Well it would appear that these men weren't properly trained in gun safety based
on the fact they shot at me." "That's not what I'm talking about how are you alive and what happened to the people who killed you?" "You must have
been seeing things a trick of the light perhaps they didn't kill me giving me the chance to kill them while they were busy shooting at you." "Who are

Rock Music Impact On Society
Rock music started around 1940s and 1950s. This moved all the way to the present wear it grow and changed in many ways making tips of music
like hard rock and heavy metal. No one knows who made rock music or when it first made it's appearance but there are some really good artist in
rock. Some of the artist include Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and one of my favoritesGuns N' Roses. There also were popular instruments in rock like the
guitar, drums, and electric guitar. Last, rock's impact and how it has an effect on society.
First, let's start with one of the most important impact to rock, Elvis Presley. Elvis is the most popular rock artist. The form of rock and roll he
writes is the blues. People called him "The King" because that's how good he was. He has sold over more than one billion copies worldwide. He
still has the most gold, platinum, and multiplatinum certifications. Elvis was born january 8,1935 in East Tupelo, Mississippi. "Elvis had 149
charting pop singles: 114 Top 40, 40 Top Ten, and 18 Number Ones."and he was one of the first rock stars to be in films. Elvis died August 16, 1977,
heart attack.
Second, The Beatles are an English rock band formed in 1960. The people in the band were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and
Ringo Starr. John lennon was the leader and the one who formed the group. They also really like hamburgers. In 1969 the band broke up they did not

Essay on The Success of Bon Jovi's Album "Slippery When Wet"
You will be hard pressed to find someone over the age of 25 that has not heard at least one song by the band out of New Jersey, Bon Jovi. The band
got together in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey, made up of lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist, Richie Sambora, keyboardist, David Bryan and
Drummer, Tico Torres. Since the formation of the band, they have been making music for 30 years. Before 1986,Bon Jovi released two albums: Bon
Jovi(1984) and 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit(1985). They were able to build a pretty steady fan base from these two albums, though these albums did not
have as much success in the mainstream rock market as their third album, Slippery When Wet. Slippery When Wet, was the third album released by
Bon Jovi. The release ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It highlights the struggles that are happening for people. There are some great guitar riffs and distortion. It has a verses/chorus composition. The song
is a little bit slower to begin, but soon picks up the tempo, it is a great song to sing along because the lyrics are not distorted by the instruments, like
you find with some other bands. This song was written by Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi, and Desmond Child. The fourth track is "Social Disease",
which was written by Richie Sambora and Jon Bon Jovi. This up tempo song has guitar riffs and the drums and keyboard arrangements make for an
awesome listening experience. Sometimes it is hard to tell if the sound is coming from the guitar or from the keyboards, but the layering of sounds
makes this a true rock song. After the final verse/chorus, the instruments keeping playing, the chorus is repeated, and then an outro is performed by the
instruments to end the song. The song that takes fifth place on the album is "Wanted Dead Or Alive". This song is a slower song, but has some
instrumental elements. The ones that stuck out to me the most were the guitar and keyboard. The drums were hard for me to pick out on this track, but
I know Mr. Torres was in there. After the first verse/chorus, the tempo of the song picks up a bit and there are guitar riffs with the accompaniment of
the percussion instruments. "Wanted Dead Or Alive" was written by Richie

Back In Black Research Paper
Hailing out of Australia, AC/DC is a legendary band, that had two major singers who both sang in their own unique ways. In February 1980, AC/DC
suffered the loss of their singer, Bon Scott, from alcohol poisoning and hypothermia. This set the future of AC/DC for the rest of their careers. After the
death of Bon Scott and within that same year, AC/DC acquired Brian Johnson and made their first album together Back in Black. They released the
classic song "Back in Black", but there are many misheard lyrics in that song. Musically, it makes you think you can conquer the world and nothing
could stop you. As a tribute to their late singer, Bon Scott, the band dedicated the album to him. To date, Back in Black is AC/DC's best
–selling album,

This can be misinterpreted as saying "Nine lies, capsized. Using every woman in line." I think another reason for mishearing Johnson's lyrics is
simply the way he sings. Brian Johnson has a unique voice and does not sing clearly. So, you can read the lyrics yourself, then listen to the song and
hear something completely different. Brian Johnson is from Northeast England, known as Tyneside. The people who live there are infamously known
for their accent, which is called a Geordie accent. This accent is typically associated with the working–class people of the region, but until the 80's was
referred to anyone in Northeast England. So, the fact that there is already a dialectal difference, from Great Britain to the United States, plays a
big role into mishearing the lyrics. Plus, Johnson's accent plays a big role into mishearing the lyrics as well. My dad is an outdoorsman, he likes to
fish, hunt, trap, you name it he does it. Growing up, I was exposed to the music that my parents listen to. My dad would always take me on hunting
or fishing trips out in the country at our cabin. During the car rides, he would play his favorite bands on CDs. He would listen to Black Sabbath,
Guns N' Roses, Led Zeppelin, and other metal bands. One he played the most often though, was AC/DC. He had multiple CDs from them from both
the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. One I specifically remember was "Back in Black". He would

Bon Jovi's Hall of Fame Induction Letter

  • 1. Letter To Bon Jovi In The Hall Of Fame I am Rielie Sawyer from Cocalico High School. I love music and i am writing this letter for a couple reasons. One, i would love it if my band was in the hall of fame. Two, i am doing this for a school project for my Music nine class. I nominating the band "Bon Jovi" for the category "Performers" and i would love if they made it into the Hall of Fame. Bon Jovi came together and formed in 1983 but due to some problems with each member the band sadly went their separate ways in 2014. They have many Musical Genre & Styles to be described as rock, techno–pop, pop metal, metal lite. Some people have used many adjectives to describe them. Some of them were that they have an organic sound, rockabilly twang, they have some disco strings, and they are strong, and vibrant. They came together and began touring as an opening act with their first album "Bon Jovi" with, .38 Special, Ted Nugent, Eddie Money, Judas Priest, and the ZZ Top. From There they became big and released there first but not last Album. Some of their Important Albums were "BonJovi", "7800 degrees", "Fahrenheit", and "Lost Highway". Some of their Important songs or hits were "Wanted Dead or alive", "You give a love a bad... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Founded by Ron Shaich and Louis Kane, the company thrived along the east coast of the United States and internationally throughout the 1980's and 1990's and became the dominant operator within the bakery–cafГ© category. • 3. How To Achieve Goals In Life Essay Some people are successful because they are destined to be such. But most people are more successful because they are determined to reach this goal. We just know what we want and how to achieve it. You would probably have laid out your plans for your life already, and that you would exhaust all efforts just to attain what you desire. But sometimes, we question, how come no matter how hard you try to perfect things the way you planned it, circumstances would not allow it? You start thinking, were your efforts not enough to achieve your goals? Or maybe it is just not meant to be? Some people may be too controlling of their lives and get burnt out fast. When this happens, your mindset tends to shift and they turn into a complete opposite of what they used to be.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Just when you think you are good, you can actually be better. Never settle for mediocre, but try surprising yourself and reach far beyond what you can imagine. Your success in life does not rely on fate, but it depends on the effort you put in achieving your goals in life. The quote has a similar theme with the first two lines of the second stanza in the poem "If". It is okay to dream and visualize your goals in life. But do not let it control you without making it into reality. In life, you may experience the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows, which will both teach you to become a better person. Know that we all have our strengths and limitations, which defines who we are. Correlating the quote, the poem "If" and the poem "Still I Rise" altogether, they all speak about knowing one's self serving–worth, not relying on chances or what other people dictate, but rather making your dream into reality despite the difficulties you will face in life. You make your choice and you will be responsible for whatever actions you ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Seasons and What They Mean in Japanese Culture In Noh there are many things that are significant, and that have deeper meanings. For instance the simple way that they walk, sing, and move all mean something more. While doing the presentations on a Noh play I noticed something beautiful about the play that I had chosen. Spring was mentioned a lot, it had many cameos in the play. In Yuya the entire back story of the play is the discussions of going to see thecherry blossoms. Spring in Japan means a whole lot more than just another season. It means new life, and new beginnings, a way for family to come together and start anew. So while taking this course I really picked up on the seasonal aspect of Noh whether it be spring, autumn, summer, or winter. Each setting gave a new feeling of how people reacted, and it's true in real life also. So in this essay I will be discussing all of the seasons and what they mean in Japanese culture, with some symbolic things and Noh examples also. Spring also known as haru is the first of four seasons in Japan, from March to May. The significance of the cherry blossom tree in Japanese culture goes back hundreds of years. In their country, the cherry blossom represents the simplicity and the beauty of life. It just shows that even though life is sometimes wonderful and beautiful, it can also be very short and to always remember that we only have so long. When the cherry blossom trees bloom for a short time each year, they show that very well since they are so beautiful but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This song accurately describes the personality of one of the main characters in State of Fear, George Morton. Morton is a well known millionaire and an avid supporter of an organization known as the National Environmental Research Fund, also known as NERF. When one of Morton's friends, NERF founder Nicholas Drake, calls Morton's lawyer and asks about the state of his mental health and whether or not he will be attending an important fundraiser, the true colors of George Morton begin to show: ""I want you to promise me you'll deliver him." This song does an extremely good job of spelling out Professor John Kenner's most prominent characteristic. John Kenner is a mysterious man whom many people feel antipathy towards, including Nicholas Drake. These negative outlooks soon go away, however, when Kenner saves practicing attorney Peter Evans and George Morton's personal assistant, Sarah, from a gunpoint robbery in the residence of Mr. Morton: "And to Evan's astonishment, she stepped across the body of the fallen attacker to give a grateful hug to John Kenner, professor of Geoenvironmental Engineering at MIT." (Crichton 187). This quote shows the aftermath of the attempted robbery, as Sarah and Peter realize that their savior was none other than the mysterious John Kenner. The sudden surge of gratefulness that resulted from them being saved is a smack in the face в є (Metaphor) that allowed their negative opinions of Kenner to be erased, leaving behind an entirely new and positive outlook as a result of his prowess. After being saved by Kenner, Sarah and Peter begin to regret ever judging him without ever actually seeing him in the flesh. They realize that the ominous descriptions that they have heard about him are not entirely true, and they see him as he really is; as a hero. The song "Hero" does an excellent job of portraying John Kenner as it talks about the importance of a hero: "I need a hero to save my life, I need a hero just in time." ... • 7. The Swarm of Paparazzi Paparazzi Paparazzi are people that celebrities are always swarmed by and they can become too aggressive to get that one perfect picture, but why? Paparazzi are photographers that go far beyond what may be appropriate to others to get these photos, whether it is crashing a formal party, following celebrities in a car, or even breaking into the home of the celebrities. Paparazzi can get a large amount of money for these photos that they sell to tabloids that want these sometimes embarrassing and cruel photos. Paparazzi can become too close for comfort and they should have laws and restrictions on how far they can go to get the latest pictures and news because the celebrities have no privacy and due to the past events within society. The intention of the paparazzi is to take the best photo that will sell for the greatest amount of money. However these ordinary people still have to abide by the laws that the rest of the world lives by, but unfortunately they never seem to follow these crucial and necessary restrictions. The people within society never thought that paparazzi could get this bad to the point in which celebrities were pressing charge, getting into full scale brawls, and breaking laws. The paparazzi of the past never thought that the present–day paparazzi would be so vicious. "The paparazzi care about sales above and beyond all other considerations" (Howe 17). This approach of customers gave Panera Bread an opportunity to mix two different concepts of restaurant industry that are fast food and casual dining. The Bon MarchГ© Essay The Bon MarchГ© Michael Miller's book, The Bon MarchГ©: Bourgeois Culture and the Department Store, 1869–1920, is an expansive and interesting look back on a era of Parisian history that is best represented by its then–current trend and social innovation, the department store. The book gives a fascinating account of the store from its beginning to eventual common place status in 1914. The book gives an insight on the factors in which the store saw success, such as the management, the labor, and new marketing. In 1876, Aristide Boucicaut announced the establishment of a financial fund for employees. This was designed to make the employees apart of his "house," or family. The methods proved so effective that even the Boucicauts' eventual successors (though most having made their way up the ranks of the store) continued their system. The store attracts a certain kind of upper–class. They wished to be able to take part in something as close to the middle–class as possible. Essay on Power and Manipulation in The Ladies Paradise Power and Manipulation in The Ladies Paradise As the world has grown throughout the centuries, females have generally been under the domination of males. This remained culturally entrenched until the late nineteenth century, when women began to appear in public more often and also began to join alongside men in the work force. In the network of employees and employers in the emerging institution of the Parisian department store, men and women depended on each other for survival in the workplace. Such interdependence is a microcosm of the bourgeois French society during that time, which Emile Zola wrote of in The Ladies' Paradise, the eleventh book of the Rougon–Macquart series detailing middle–class life. According to Professor Brian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Likewise, the owner of the fictional department store in The Ladies' Paradise, Octave Mouret, builds his visions of a prosperous business. He inherits a small draper's shop and, using his pecuniary power, buys more space to expand the shop. The end result is the Ladies' Paradise, a gargantuan store enveloping all of the original small specialty shops, creating a retail monopoly in Paris. In order to generate astonishing revenue, Mouret's Ladies' Paradise employs techniques to create spontaneous desire by playing on customers' sense of sight, which would help women, who make up the majority of department store customers, realize their independent desires for femininity. The first thing one sees when one walks into a brightly lit department store is the displays. In an appeal to his customers' sight, Mouret throws brightly colored scarves in heaping piles on a display in the front of the store. According to Elaine Abelson, "Subtlety was not an attribute of merchants in the late nineteenth century. If there was color used, it appeared in massive displays" (44). Such flamboyancy attracts women wishing to release their own creativity, suppressed by the male–dominated society. The lack of harmony in the displays portrays Mouret's belief "...that customers should have sore eyes by the time they [leave] the shop" ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

About every other band had one related artist in common: Bon Iver. I scrolled more. "Bon Iver, Bon Iver, Bon Iver." This guy has wrecked the indie music scene. Bon Iver (who 's real name is Justin Vernon) has clearly left a mark, or even a scar, on the genre. No one is quite like him, yet everyone is inspired by him. Due to his unmatchable voice, deeply layered instrumentals, and breathtakingly visual lyrics, Bon Iver has completely wrecked and rebuilt his style, forcing anyone similar to him to be a footnote in his musical doctrine. But is all the praise and respect deserved? People ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This brings me to another interesting thing about this artist, which is the ways in which he writes his lyrics. It is always better, in any form of writing, to not tell the audience how to feel, but to describe the things that make you feel that way, and then let them come to those feelings naturally. Bon Iver does this to the highest degree. For example, in the opening track, "Flume," Vernon writes, "Only love is all maroon Lapping lakes like leery loons Leaving rope burns Reddish rouge" If we break this down, we unravel many aspects of Bon Iver as a writer. First of all, we get an extremely colorful image, not of a literal scene, but more of an emotional state. He writes that love leaves rope burns, which appear "reddish rouge." We could assume that "rouge" is referring to makeup, since the other option would be it meaning the color red, and that would be repetitive. With this makeup detail, we get the image of the soft cheeks of a young woman, symbolizing beauty and tenderness. Yet, it is rope burns that have this flair of beauty and tenderness, and it is love
