SPEAKSTARTER
Kebanyakandari orangindonesiamengeluhkansususahnyabelajarbahasainggrisapalagi sampai
mahirberbahasainggris,danini sudahmenjadi suatuparadigmabahwabelajaringgrisituharus
menguasai semuatatabahasa( grammar) olehsebabitu merekabanyakmenghabiskanbanyak
waktuuntukmempelajari apayangseharusnyatidakdi perlukan.Bahasainggrissebagai suatu
bahasa yangdipraktekkandari padadi hafal.
Speak starter ada sebuah program yang di susun untuk pembelajar pada level dasar agar
supaya memperoleh komponen dasar keterampilan berbahasa inggris. Materi materi yang dari
program ini sangat membantu pembelajar untuk berbicara.
Goal:
Murid akan di latih dan di bimbing dalam bebicara seperti halnya mendeskrisikan sesuatu
dan membuat percakapan sehari – hari yang di butuhkan mereka untuk memperoleh pemahaman
lebih jauh dan mempraktikkannya.
Method:
1. Phrase learning
Providing and understanding common phrases used for English communication regarding
the topic.
2. Enriching vocabularies
Providingandunderstanding English vocabularies and how to apply it commonly regarding
the topic.
3. Activity
Applyingandpracticingthe phrasesandvocabulariesinaconditioned activity with a certain
topic.
4. Brush up
Reviewing what has been learned during the meeting.
5. Giving heads-up for the next meeting activity

Day 1:Program introduction & Self introduction
1. Memperkenalkan metode pembelajaran dan target dari program speak starter
2. Memeberikan pemahaman kepada murid bahwa bahasa inggris ialah sebuah alat
komunikasi. Murid harus memahaminya sebagai pengguna, bahasa inggris adalah sebuah
keterampilan bukan pengetahuan.perbanyak praktik akan membantu meningkatkan
kemampuanlebihcepatdari padahanyasekedar menghapal rumus,. Oleh sebab itu, murid
akan diharuskan membentuk

5. Givingunderstandingtothe learnersaboutEnglishasacommunicationtool.Learners must
understandthat,as a user,Englishis more of askillrather thanknowledge. Frequent practice
will help improving the skill itself faster than passive learning. Hence, learners will be
required to form talkative character towards themselves and speak more particularly for
introvert individual. Raise their awareness to love the language before learning it.
Explaining the whole study materials and the purpose of the learning activity. For
most people, giving a clear objective will stimulate motivation and interest to learn the
language.
6. Greetings and farewell.
For a starter, it is essential for the learners to understand the way native English
speakers greet each other. Greetings open the door that you have to pass in order to
commence a conversation particularly with strangers.
Providingvariouskindof greetings and giving slight culture understanding towards
the learners.Language isthe resemblance of certain culture and understanding the culture
itself will minimize the chance of miscommunication occurance.
Practicing the greetings given among learners as English speaking habitual
establishment. The activity will be ended by recalling all materials learned.
7. Try to introduce a friend to other person (card identity)
8. Giving understanding of cross culture of introduction, formal situation or informal.
9. Having small conversation.

Being able to introduce yourself is essential when you are conducting a
communication in English both for monologue and dialogue.
3. Providing the phrases and vocabularies.
Learners will be given phrases related to self introduction such as telling name,
birthday,hometown,address,occupation,hobby,favoritefood,zodiac,phone number, etc.
Learnersdon’tnecessarilyhave to apply all of them during a conversation but it’s essential
for them to know what to say when they are needed to.
Apart fromthe phrases,learnerswillbe givenvocabularies related to the topic such
as numbers, name of days, name of months, nationality, hobbies, music genres, etc. The
vocabularies are supporting tools for the learners to develop sentence variety for drilling
activity.
4. Learning activity
Learners will introduce themselves among classmates for the time given.
Furthermore, learnerswill be askedaboutthe classmate whomtheyintroducedthemselves
with. This will unconsciously form a bond among classmates through the activity.
Another available activity is introducing an acquintance to another person. In this
activity, learners will work in pairs. Each of them will be given a new identity and play the
role as a new person. Each pair will do self introduction with the new identity given. After
doing introduction, learners will introduce their partner to all classmates.
Day 3: Telling time
1. Melafalakan setiap contoh kalimat
2. Meminta murid untuk mengikuti dan mempraktekkannya dengan teman sekelas secara
bergantian.
3. Menjelaskan tentang topic dan mendeskripsikannya
4. Memberikan contoh2 yang berhubugan dengan pengalaman murid

Speak starter ada sebuah program yang di susun untuk pembelajar pada level dasar agar supaya memperoleh komponen dasar keterampilan berbahasa inggris. Materi materi yang dari program ini sangat membantu pembelajar untuk berbicara. Goal: Murid akan di latih dan di bimbing dalam bebicara seperti halnya mendeskrisikan sesuatu dan membuat percakapan sehari – hari yang di butuhkan mereka untuk memperoleh pemahaman lebih jauh dan mempraktikkannya. Method: 1. Phrase learning Providing and understanding common phrases used for English communication regarding the topic. 2. Enriching vocabularies Providingandunderstanding English vocabularies and how to apply it commonly regarding the topic. 3. Activity Applyingandpracticingthe phrasesandvocabulariesinaconditioned activity with a certain topic. 4. Brush up Reviewing what has been learned during the meeting. 5. Giving heads-up for the next meeting activity Materials: 1. Greetings and introduction 2. Introduce others 3. Telling time 4. Daily activity 5. Leasure time 6. Describing person 7. Go shopping 8. Memeberikan pemahaman kepada murid bahwa bahasa inggris ialah sebuah alat komunikasi. Murid harus memahaminya sebagai pengguna, bahasa inggris adalah sebuah keterampilan bukan pengetahuan.perbanyak praktik akan membantu meningkatkan kemampuanlebihcepatdari padahanyasekedar menghapal rumus,. Greetings and farewell. For a starter, it is essential for the learners to understand the way native English speakers greet each other. Greetings open the door that you have to pass in order to commence a conversation particularly with strangers. Providingvariouskindof greetings and giving slight culture understanding towards the learners.Language isthe resemblance of certain culture and understanding the culture itself will minimize the chance of miscommunication occurance. Practicing the greetings given among learners as English speaking habitual establishment. The activity will be ended by recalling all materials learned. 7. Short recall ofprevious topic. 2. Introducing the currenttopic. Being able to introduce yourself is essential when you are conducting a communication in English both for monologue and dialogue. 3. Providing the phrases and vocabularies. Learners will be given phrases related to self introduction such as telling name, birthday,hometown,address,occupation,hobby,favoritefood,zodiac,phone number, etc. Learnersdon’tnecessarilyhave to apply all of them during a conversation but it’s essential for them to know what to say when they are needed to. Apart fromthe phrases,learnerswillbe givenvocabularies related to the topic such as numbers, name of days, name of months, nationality, hobbies, music genres, etc. The

Learning activity Learners will introduce themselves among classmates for the time given. Furthermore, learnerswill be askedaboutthe classmate whomtheyintroducedthemselves with. This will unconsciously form a bond among classmates through the activity. Another available activity is introducing an acquintance to another person. In this activity, learners will work in pairs. Each of them will be given a new identity and play the role as a new person. Each pair will do self introduction with the new identity given.
