At the end of the lesson the trainees/ students should be able to:
A. Identify the procedure in checking power steering fluid.
B. Observe safety practices when checking power steering fluid.
C. Demonstrate how to check power steering fluid level.

Projector, laptop, vehicle with power steering system, flash light,
Bottle of specified power steering fluid, Funnel, Gloves, Safety
glasses/goggles, Towel to clean up any spills, Vehicle owner's manual,
White cloth or paper towel
IV. PROCEDURE
A. PRE-ACTIVITY
Prayer (start to use slide presentation)
Attendance check (by previously organized group)
Setting of Standards (involved student)
Review:
How do you describe power steering system?
Motivation:
How can you maintain the power steering system? What to check?
Presentation:
Present the objectives of the lesson.
B. ACTIVITY PROPER
Group Activity: “CHECK THIS OUT!’’
Mechanics: Instruct each group (previously organize with given
assignments) to select any form of a creative presentation of the
information they have gathered in their assignment on how to
accurately and safely check the power steering fluid of a vehicle.
Agree with the students on the RUBRICS to be used in the
presentation.
Give 20 minutes for the group to prepare.
Presentation of group output after time allotment.
Formative Assessment:
Give rating to the group using the following rubric:

Analysis:
Ask the following guide questions with a follow up:
1) Is there any differences on the procedures given by each group?
How do they differ?
2) What are the uniqueness found on the ideas of each
presentation?
3) Which of the presentation are clearly delivered? Are the
accuracy of contents reliable? What are the respective sources
of this information?
4) How do the safety measures are emphasize in any of the
presentation?
Abstraction/ Generalization:
Present slides and video clips to the class depicting the correct
procedure on checking power steering fluid.
Ask students randomly to restate in their own words the safety
procedures in checking power steering fluid.
Application:
Ask the following questions:
1) How do know that you are following the procedures in
checking the power steering fluid safely and correctly?
2) Why do you need to refer to the technical manual?

power steering safely or answer two questions in Oral

MATERIALS: Projector, laptop, vehicle with power steering system, flash light, Bottle of specified power steering fluid, Funnel, Gloves, Safety glasses/goggles, Towel to clean up any spills, Vehicle owner's manual, White cloth or paper towel IV. PROCEDURE A. PRE-ACTIVITY Prayer (start to use slide presentation) Attendance check (by previously organized group) Setting of Standards (involved student) Review: How do you describe power steering system? Motivation: How can you maintain the power steering system? What to check? Presentation: Present the objectives of the lesson.

ACTIVITY PROPER Group Activity: “CHECK THIS OUT!’’ Mechanics: Instruct each group (previously organize with given assignments) to select any form of a creative presentation of the information they have gathered in their assignment on how to accurately and safely check the power steering fluid of a vehicle. Agree with the students on the RUBRICS to be used in the presentation. Give 20 minutes for the group to prepare. Presentation of group output after time allotment. Formative Assessment: Give rating to the group using the following rubric: Criteria 5 3 1 Points Earned ACCURACY All procedures are given in correct order One to two procedures are lacking or incorrect. Three or more steps in the procedures SPEED CREATIVITY Total C. POST ACTIVITY Analysis: Ask the following guide questions with a follow up: 1) Is there any differences on the procedures given by each group? How do they differ? 2) What are the uniqueness found on the ideas of each presentation? 3) Which of the presentation are clearly delivered? Are the accuracy of contents reliable? What are the respective sources of this information? 4) How do the safety measures are emphasize in any of the presentation? Abstraction/ Generalization: Present slides and video clips to the class depicting the correct procedure on checking power steering fluid. Ask students randomly to restate in their own words the safety procedures in checking power steering fluid. Application: Ask the following questions: 1) How do know that you are following the procedures in checking the power steering fluid safely and correctly? 2) Why do you need to refer to the technical manual?
  • 3. V. EVALUATION Role Play/ Demonstrate Four (4) of the procedures in checking power steering safely or answer two questions in Oral Questioning on how to check power steering fluid.
