The verb to be
The verb "TO BE in the simple present tense" is the most common
verb in the English language. It´s important that students identify
the verb TO BE as the main verb in a sentence and use its
affirmative, negative and interrogative form, in this way they will
practice the knowledge acquired in each class. This topic will be
crucial in order to improve their learning process and develop
different skills; helping to increase the use of the second language
and communication with others.

Adjectives often follow
the verb TO BE (am, is,
are):

GRAMMAR
- Notice that the verb TO BE has three
conjugations AM, IS and ARE.
- Notice that NOT is used to form the negative.
NOT is used after the main verb TO BE.
- When the main verb is TO BE
simply INVERT the subject verb
order to make a sentence interrogative.
