2. What is integers
*An integers is the set of whole
numbers and their opposites.
* In other words, integers are
positive(╬) and negative(-)
whole numbers
5. • Positive Numbers: A number is positive if it is greater than
zero. Example: 1, 2, 3, . . .
• Negative Numbers: A number is negative if it is less than
zero. Example: -1, -2, -3, . . .
• Zero is defined as neither a negative number nor a
positive number. It is a whole number.

7. Graphing Integers on a Number Line
Positive and negative integers can be visually
represented on a number line. Integers on a numbe
line help in performing arithmetic operations. The
basic points to keep in mind while placing integers
on a number line are as follows:
The number on the right side is always greater than
the number on the left side.
8. Negative numbers are placed on the left side of 0,
because they are smaller than 0.
Zero, which is not positive or negative, is usually kept
in the middle.
9. What is comparing and ordering integers?
"Comparing" integers means determining whether
they are greater than (>) or less than (<) a given
number. "Ordering" integers means putting them in
order either from least to greatest or from greatest
to least.
10. How does one compare integers?
To compare integers, picture where each one
would be on a horizontal number line. The integer
further left has less value, while the integer further
right has greater value.
11. How does one know which integer is greater?
When ordering integers, picture where each one
would be on a horizontal number line. The values of
the integers get less as you move to the left, while
the values of the integers get larger as you move to
the right. So, whichever integer is furthest to the right
has the greatest value.
