• Balance is the keyword to a happy and successful family life. There should be balance between work, rest, and
leisure.
• Recreational activities are leisure activities pursued for the purpose of enjoyment, fun, and pleasure.
• There are different types of family recreational activities. It can be indoors or outdoors , passive or active.
• The goal of recreational activities is to provide each member with satisfaction & happiness and make him/her
feel completely relaxed & happy. It further aims to make everyone become closer to each other and have family
bonding.
• In planning recreational activities for the family: consider the interest of the members, available time, budget
needed , inventory of tools and equipment needed for the activity, and the responsibility for each member of the
family.
