Aiyana tells her grandchildren the Lenmana creation story, beginning with Mother Nature bringing life to a barren land with her daughter Onatah. Onatah helps the land flourish but desires companionship, so Mother Nature creates the male Kitchi. They have many children who are given control over the elements. However, Onatah's twin brother Otaktay notices that overpopulation could become a problem if nothing changes. He creates the concepts of life, death, and reincarnation to maintain balance on the land. The story explains how various important figures like Onatah and her daughters pass on their spirits. Aiyana's grandchildren discuss the story and ask questions about their own powers within the Len

1. Legacyversery InterludeEvery Native American tribe has their own Creation story that they tell their descendants on how the world was made. The Lenmanans aren’t much different. I looked up some Native American creation stories and used them as a base while putting in my own twists and turns. The idea of this for a Legacyversery chapter came to me from fellow simmers. Thank you everyone!

2. Aiyana had called forth her family members to a park near their houses that were being redone. The park had everything they needed: a forest, a wide open space, a pond and there was a grill around there too of course with outhouses nearby. It was summer in between school years and she wanted to have this before Jacy and Adoette headed off to school. The older children were called home from university just to be here.

3. Aiyana looked proudly at what she had succeeded since she first was given her mission. A wonderful and maybe a bit odd husband, two wonderful children and nine grandchildren and she could still see in each one of their faces that they would carry on the native traditions they have grown up in. The Azure clan and the Hunicke clan of the Lenmana natives.

4. “Grandma?” Adoette asked Aiyana.“What is it Adoette?”“I know we are all much older right now I mean Jacy and I are heading off to college. Koko and Sika are Juniors, Rozie , Sinopa, and Crow are going to be sophomores. But can you tell us more Lenmana legends? Like how we started and how certain powers are given to certain Natives?” Adoette asked curiously always wanting to learn more about her culture.“Well lets see what everyone else thinks? “ “Who wants to hear some more Lenmana Legends?”

5. The others agreed as they sat around Aiyana. Aiyana pulled out a lounge chair and set it up so her Elder body wouldn’t have to sit on the ground. It’s not that Aiyana DIDN’T want to because she would have loved anything to be one with nature but her aging body figured it would be better to sit.

6. “Lenmana Island has been around for as long as the world has been turning but how was it started you wonder? Listen closely and you will find out the Legend of the Island.” Aiyana started her story.The air around Aiyana seemed to swirl as colors mixed together as if pieces in a puzzle strewn about before the puzzle was to be started.

7. It didn’t take long for the pieces to put themselves back together as the story started with a young Lenmanian woman lying in the middle of a barren land. She was wearing white.The Island started when mother nature also known as Makawee decided to bring life to the barren land before her, she set down her firstborn daughter Onatah and gave her a form known as “sim”. Onatah was already fully grown in an “adult” form. Mother nature woke her up from her deep slumber .“My daughter, I brought you to this Island because I need help with creating life on this barren cratered land. I cannot do this all alone.”

8. “Of course mother, I was hoping you would ask for I have many ideas of what we can do.” Onatah replied in agreement. So Onatah helped mother nature add some life to her barren land. She created plants and animals the plants of which would bear fruit so Onatah can live on this land. Onatah spent time planting and keeping everything well but she needed something more although mother nature helped with the plants she had no one to share it with.“Mother, I’m feeling lonely I have no one to share the fruit of the land or help me with other tasks. I believe this land needs more like me. Can you create another for me that I can share my life with.”

9. That was when mother nature decided that a female couldn’t create more on her own. So she went on to create a male for Onatah called Kitchi.“ Kitchi, you are another creation of mine. “ Mother Nature told the male . “You and my daughter Onatah will be companions and help create more like yourself to fill my land with even more life. You are a protector, you will help Onatah as well as protect her and her descendants. ““I understand mother, she helps create life and I must protect her.” Kitchi replied.

10. Kitchiwent over to his companion and introduced himself.“My name is Kitchi and I have come here to be your companion and protect you and your descendants”Onatah accepted Kitchi and not to long later she found herself with child. The first child she bore was a daughter. “Mother you have given me a daughter. I shall call her Tadewi. My child will control the air and the wind for all to breathe.”

11. It wasn’t long before Onatah and Kitchi’s first daughter was followed by twin daughters. Ama and Atsila.“I have borne two more daughters with the help of mother nature and Kitchi, Ama will create water to help my plants grow as well as rain which will help each of the creatures Living on this land. But she also brings coldness to the land. Her twin sister Atsila will control warmth and fire to help with her sister’s cold and rain. ”

12. Aiyana’s story was interrupted by her grandkids all speaking at once.“They are the four elements created on the land aren’t they grandma; Onatah and mother nature stand for earth, Tadewi is air, Ama is water and Atsila is fire. The four elements that occur everywhere on the land.” Dyami said understanding.“Yeah but don’t forget about Metal too there are five elements” Rozene said.“Well isn’t metal part of earth wouldn’t that be Makawee and Onatah?” Sinopa replied.“Wait what about Kitchi he’s the protector, wouldn’t that make him metal? Since metal is used in weapons?” Ohanko added.

13. “Well spirit is also an element to I think that’s more of Mother Nature/Makawee. I think Onatah might just be earth.” Siksika replied.“Well I can control fire just like Atsila. So what does that make me?” Jacy asked curiously, she had been pretty quiet listening to the legend her grandmother was telling them since she had always loved the stories, they all have.“I think you’re just special Jay” Crowfoot joked lightly tapping his younger sister.

14. “I apologize for the interruptions of my kin grandmother. Would you please continue?” Koko said half annoyed, half amused by her family members’ discussion.Aiyana actually didn’t mind her grandchildren attempting to understand the legend. It made her feel wonderful that she has such strong Lenmana blood showing up in her descendants. She took a deep breathe as the breeze passed through the park. She was proud of herself for having such amazing kids as descendants. She loved How they acted as if they were children listening to the stories Aiyana had always told but the difference this time was they were growing up and were now teenagers and young adults.Aiyana continued.

15. After three daughters they were soon followed by three sons: Cheveyo was the first son and was told that he would be a warrior alongside his father, their second son was Nayavu who had a very creative personality and he soon decided to build a shelter for his family to protect them better from the weather that resulted from his elder sisters control of the elements. The youngest one was called Takoda who spent most of his time helping anyone who needed it.

16. As the children grew mother nature helped create spouses for each of them. When they hit the adult stage of their lives they chose to continue Makawee’s line. Each child had a spouse and started to bear their own children. The first two children were born to Ama and Atsila.Ama bore a daughter who’s birth was followed by the sky turning from grey to dark and a pale white circle appeared in the sky. Mimiteh the child was named and she was a happy child who stayed wide awake up until it was Atsila’s time to bear a child.

17. Atsila gave birth to a son whom was named Paitalyi. Following his birth the sky brightened from the darkness of his cousin’s birth as a brighter circle appeared in the sky. Paitalyi had stayed awake for a while until his cousin started to wake up. The transition of the two cousins resulted in the sky changing colors of bright and pastel pinks, oranges and purples that painted the sky. When Paitalyi finally fell asleep, Mimiteh had awoken and her pale circle returned to the now darkened sky. As time went on the cousins continues to wake up and sleep at their designated times only seeing each other in the transition phase where the bright and pastel colors appeared in the sky.

18. Once they got older Mimiteh and Paitalyi decided to name their awake times and the transitions. Mimiteh called her time “night” and her circle “moon”. She was the daughter of water and the moon would control how her mother’s water creations acted. Paitalyi called his time “day” and his circle “sun”. He was the son of fire of which had a part in the appearance of the sun. The sun would control the heat of the land. The transition phases were also named both had two names depending on what they felt like calling it at its occurence: “Moonset / Sunrise” and “Sunset / Moonrise”

19. Days and nights passed as more children made themselves known with in the land, even the animals started to reproduce as quickly. Certain animals were given the choice by Mimiteh and Paitalyi to be more active at night or during the day and both cousins gave the animals gifts having to do with the times.

20. Meanwhile the wives of Onatah’s three sons had an idea. They could create their own clan, they believed that there had to be something they could do. They were of different blood than that of Onatah and Makawee. A talk with the two and then it was decided that it would be best to start a new clan with the wives. The wives were of new blood different from that of which had passed through Onatah. They brought their husbands and children then created a new clan but they still have their ties to the main line of Mother Nature.

21. The idea was accepted so there would be no intermarrying within the clan. If it ever came to be. So the wives gathered their husbands and children to create a new clan.

22. Time went on and the families began to grow even larger, but there was no death, no pain no nothing. The males had nothing to protect the females from and the females always had food growing and took care of the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren etc. No one ever aged, no one ever died. If this rate continued there was sure to be a problem.

23. That was when Onatah’s twin brother Otaktay made himself known as he made his way to where his mother sat and observed her creations thrive. Otaktay had been impressed with what his mother and sister were doing with the once barren land that was now full of life. He started to notice the flaws in the plans.“Mother I appreciate what you and my sister have done with this land. But what about over population? If this rate continues the land will be overfull. Shouldn’t we do something about this?” Otaktay asked.Makawee looked at her son and told him that there was nothing to worry about.

24. Otaktay decided to confront his sister about the land. The male voiced his concerns to her.“My dear brother” Onatahsighed as she looked at him. “I agree that there should be some way to control life like that. Even if it means losing myself on this land I know I will return to the earth from whence I came.”

25. With that in mind Otaktay went on with his project to create a world of which spirits will chose to settle for a while or start a new story or experience in another life. Of course not all spirits would stay very few usually would if his plan was going to work. The souls would be reused to make it easier on his mother although she could still create more if she chose to.He called these places “Wanagi Taraku” and “Wanagi Yata”

26. First the soul would pass through the Wanagi Taraku, or the “spirit path”. This path would depend on the one who uses it. It would change for everyone. The path would show the spirit their lives, starting from birth, to death and everything in-between. The path is used to reflect on the life that they lead every single decision every move they made, everything would be recorded for them to relive their former life one last time.

27. The Wanagi Yata is also called “place of souls”. This is where spirits can stay a while if they do not chose to use the room of doorways to enter a new life. Of course this is also for most of these spirits to reincarnate themselves into another life, another body, another story, through the doorways to another story.“…death teaches us that we are part of a cycle of birth and death and rebirth, of spring, summer, fall, winter, and spring again….”

28. Otaktay’s creations of these places also had another result it brought old age, death, disease, pain and much more to the land. He eventually created a room of which held hourglasses of every single living thing on the land. Some didn’t have a lot of sand some had a lot each souls time was determined randomly by Otaktay himself. The room was only his and only he could enter it, if another entered chaos would ensue and Otaktay’s balance of life and death would be tipped for the worse. Once another other than Otaktay himself made their way they would have full control of life and death. He did everything to make sure that this wouldn’t happen.

29. As time went on the people of the land started to die. Otaktay brought many ways for one life to end to the land some died of old age some died of disease, some died in protecting another. But most died of old age. All passing through the Wanagi Taraku and Wanagi Yata.

30. Although some deaths were much different than others:When Onatah’s time came she passed through the earth and returned to the place where Makawee and Otaktay had begun.

31. Onatah’s three daughters also had different deaths:Tadewi turned into dust and became the spirit of the wind that surrounded the land as well as the rest of the world.Ama fell carefully in the water as her body dissolved and became the spirit of the water, that everyone would need since all water was connected.Atsila turned to Ash that her sister’s wind spirit picked up and scattered across the lands so anyone who needed fire would call on her spirit of the fire.

32. And then there was time for Mimiteh and Paitalyi to pass on.Mimiteh died before her cousin during the sunrise transition phase as the land brightened with Paitalyi awakening to control the day as he was saddened to know his cousin was gone. But Paitalyi’s time was coming as he died during the moonrise transition phase where his last glimpse was of Mimiteh as she appeared to him in the moon, she had became the moon’s spirit. Paitalyi smiled one last time before he passed on. When sunrise came again as the moon set Mimiteh welcomed her cousin before she settled for him to bring on the day. Paitalyi became the sun’s spirit.

33. Aiyana ended the creation story of the Lenmanans as she looked at her almost fully grown grandchildren who had been listening intently. Although they had heard this story before it just seemed to catch their attention even more now then when they were much younger. The kids were embracing their culture even more now that they were older. As children they were just bedtime stories.

34. “Grandma” Ohanko started breaking the silence.“Ohanko?” Aiyana questioned her grandson.“If females are the ones to give life and males the ones to take it away why did I end up with regeneration powers? Shouldn’t I have like degeneration powers or something instead?” The teen questioned in his own cocky way.“Actually I’m also wondering why we all ended up with special abilities when we did. I mean yes they did help in defeating Suni but why us? Why not Mom or uncle Powhatan?” Siksika added to her cousin’s question.

35. “Ohanko, special abilities aren’t connected to gender of an individual they are only connected to the soul itself. There are many male and female individuals who have possessed powers like your own. A long time ago they were known as Shamans, medicine men and medicine women, you could have very well been one of them, or something like them in a past life.” Aiyana smiled and explained to him.“That’s pretty cool!” Ohanko replied.

36. “Siksika, do you remember all the stories of the twins: Niehisa and Ketchakaila? How they always went on little adventures to discover our world?” Aiyana then turned to her granddaughter.“Yeah there are a lot of short stories about them: Magic Waters, Mountain of Dreams, The Terror Toad; all of them always had a lesson or some moral to teach us.” Sika replied.“Like that story about the turtle coming out of his shell, you told me when I was nervous about going to that school dance.” Adoette added.

37. They had all been familiar tales for children about people who went on adventures and met a lot of different creatures. The exact ages of the legendary twins were never really revealed. They were sometimes referred to as childlike but their knowledge and way of doing things seemed to follow that of a teen. “Well there is another story I never told you about how the girls discovered their powers. I have actually been telling their stories out of order. Depending which one I want to tell. Field of Crystal is actually the very first adventure of Niehisa and Ketchakaila.”

38. Aiyana sat back remembering the story. The stories she learned before her mother saved her, and the wolves had told her stories as well about Lenmana and it’s people. Aiyana was told that she always asked the wolves to tell her the stories of the twins. There were a lot of legends about them more so than any other hero in any of Lenmanan legends. These had always been her favorite ones that she usually was happy to tell to her children and grandchildren.*Niehisa (nye-ee-hai-sah)*Ketchakaila (ketch-uh-kye-ee-lah)

39. Two young Lenmanan girls wondered from their village into a nearby field to play with some of their friends. The girls were twin sisters both with hair the color of bark and eyes the color of the sky. The children ran free in their deerskin clothing played a childhood game that included running and hiding. The field was wide and gave them a lot more room than the village did to play their favorite game. The parents watched the children as they played.

40. “Ketchakaila” One of the little girls piped up. “What is it Niehisa?” Her twin sister replied.“Did you ever wonder what it would be like if we had magic powers and could go on adventures like all those heroes in the stories the elders tell us?” the first girl asked.“Yes, I guess” The second one thought it over. “But we are just children, what adventures could we go on?”

41. Niehisa thought it over what adventures could they go on? They could go anywhere and everywhere as long as they were back before suppertime. There was the field the forests the creek the dirt road that passed by the village. And there was also the village of course. Niehisa felt a thought go on in her head. She grabbed her twin sister and ran back to the village.“What are we doing?” Ketchakaila questioned.“Stopping at grandmother’s hut.” her sister answered.

42. Ketchakaila released herself from her energetic sister’s grip as she ran alongside her. They went across the field and back to the village only as fast as any other energetic children. It wasn’t long before they hit their grandmother’s hut where she was sitting by the fire.“What brings you here little ones” She asked her granddaughters.

43. “We want to go on an adventure like the heroes in your stories grandmother” Ketchakaila said as Niehisa crossed her arms and nodded.“Well if you two are going on an adventure you will need some supplies” Grandmother nodded at the little girls as their blue eyes looked at her with excitement. Grandmother was familiar with young children’s sense of adventure as a child once before grandmother would go out with her older brothers and explore around the village.

44. “Well first things first you will need some supplies” Grandmother told her young granddaughters.Grandmother helped Niehisa and Ketchakaila pack some supplies in small knapsacks. Some deer jerky for a snack, and a few other minor things. It wouldn't be too long of an adventure, grandmother liked to think. How far could two little girls go?Wouldn’t you like to know grandmother.

45. The girls went on foot past their small Lenmanan Village and followed the river that was northwest of the village. If anything they could always follow it back and get home before supper. They watched as the trees passed them by.

46. That was when they noticed a small ring of trees sitting in the middle of a small clearing. The girls had never remembered seeing it before, of course they weren’t sure if they had ever gone this far before. They glanced at each other then back at the circle of trees.“Whoever gets there first wins!” Niehisa called out but before she could run her sister grabbed her by the arm.“Niehisa how can you be sure it’s safe?” Ketchakaila replied.“I’m not!” Niehisa replied as matter of factly. “Are you coming?”

47. Ketchakaila stood on the spot thinking it over while Niehisa was itching to explore the three circle. Ketchakaila looked over at her sister then jogged toward the tree circle. Niehisa laughed as she followed her sister.

48. But once the girls entered Niehisa tripped over Ketchakaila and the two of them fell through something. They weren’t sure what it was but they had felt themselves get sucked out of thin air and thrown through some type of tunnel into a strange looking field.

49. There was grass but the rocks seemed to have been made out of Crystal. The odd looking sky was dark against the field was hard to make out exactly where they were, they had gone through something but what was it and how would they get back?

50. “Where are we sister?” Ketchakaila asked“I don’t know sister it’s not the village or the river” Niehisa replied. “I have never seen this place before” The girls said in unison as they gazed out at the crystals .They weren’t sure how they had stumbled upon the strange place .

51. The twins explored the area a bit longer, it was definitely a field. At least the grass looked like it but where were the flowers? And the trees and the bushes. These strange crystal rocks they had never really seen before. Grandmother mentioned crystals but also that she had never seen one before. But here they were surrounded by crystals. Niehisa and Ketchakaila could feel a strange sensation within their small bodies. It was quite mythical place.

52. The girls found each other once again within the field of Crystals. There was something about this place that made them feel powerful. Like the crystals were letting off some mythical magic. But why did they find this place? Why hadn’t anyone ever talked about it? Why hadn’t an adult or some hero or warrior find it, why them. They were just two little girls.

53. “Niehisa!” Ketchakaila cried with excitement.“What is it sister?” Niehisa questioned.“Look it’s a door! Maybe we can find someone who can tell us where we are, and how to get back home. Maybe someone lives here.”“It’s such a pretty place…”

54. The girls headed toward the pale odd looking door. It was unlike the wooden doors back home like the field the door seemed to be made out of crystal. The girls found it oddly easy to enter through the door. It wasn’t even too heavy. They stopped and looked around the small room that made them feel a little bit scared.“Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.” Ketchakaila said.

55. “Ketchakaila look someone is frozen. Maybe we can help her!” Niehisa called out as she noticed the frozen female figure within the room beyond the next gate. The girls ran toward the figure and examined her. The girls felt that they knew her but from where who was she and how were they going to help her?

56. “Maybe it has something to do with these things” Ketchakaila examined the strange sculptures that surrounded where the female was encased.“What are they?’“I don’t know but I think we have to touch them or something.” Ketchakaila thought outloud“Which ones?”“All of them I guess?”“But Ketchakaila we are too little we can’t reach the high ones.” Niehisa noticed.

57. “Well then we just have to touch the low ones. Maybe we can try to touch them all at once.”“Do you think that will work?’ Niehisa questioned.“We never know until we try” Ketchakaila smiled.The girls figured out what they were going to do. To touch them all at once Niehisa would need two at the same time and Ketchakaila would also need two. They decided on the ones nearest to where they were standing at the time. The twin girls each lied down on the ground between two of the sculptures and touched one with their moccasins and the other with their hands.

58. As the girls touched the sculptures, the room started to shake. The scared girls sat up and watched with awe as a spectrum of colors started to swirl and dance around the woman.They sat with transfixed eyes on the cascade of colors before them, as the colors danced and swirled.

59. The walls fell away from the female figure as her movement returned to her. She examined her hands and the rest of her body. She was bathed in many different colors as the girls sitting below could feel a strong power coming from her. The female fixed her clothing. She was quiet as if she didn’t notice anything other than the fact that she had been freed. But by whom?

60. While the older female had examined her newly freed body Niehisa and Ketchakaila finally gained self movement in their own body. They didn’t know what they just did. Did they save her or weren’t they supposed to.“Excuse me” The girls said together as they looked up at the female.

61. The colors dimmed themselves and faded. She was alerted by the small voices below her. She was confused at the small children and blinked.“Only a warrior of pure heart should have been able to free me from the prison. How did you two get here?” The female’s voice boomed .

62. “We aren’t sure one second we were exploring the river and the next we found ourselves fall through something in the forest.” Niehisa replied energetically.“We were wondering if you could tell us where we are” Ketchakaila added.“Well this is called the Field of Crystals, It is rare for any warrior to have found it.”“But we aren’t warriors we are just children.” Ketchakaila replied, Niehisa nodded in agreement.

63. The female examined the two little girls in front of her. She had heard a prophecy about there being two young warriors who would visit her next time around. They would already have some power. The woman didn’t expect her next visitors to be children, and by the looks of things they were twin sisters. She looked from one to the next, they weren’t completely identical they had different noses, their jaws were different and they both had different shades of brown in their hair. The female could also tell that the bubbly one with the medium brown hair was the older one although didn’t act it and the calmer one with the dark brown hair was the younger one but acted older.

64. “No one ever comes here by accident. There is always a reason for the portal to open up for them to bring them here. The portal is activated by a certain magic level and will gather whoever has that high level and bring them here.” The woman explained as she stepped out into the field.Niehisa and Ketchakaila followed her to where she was headed as they listened closely to her speak.“But the portal doesn’t just bring anyone with that magic level if they aren’t pure enough.”

65. “We can’t be magic or else we would have noticed by now.” Niehisa blurted out.“You must have some form of magic or else you wouldn’t have found yourselves here and freed me.” the female replied with a hint of annoyance in her voice.“Well our tribe is said to have some form of magic. But not everyone in the tribe has magic.” Ketchakaila mentioned.

66. “What tribe are you from child?’ The female turned to Ketchakaila.“The Lenmana or Lenmanans” Ketchakaila replied.“I thank you young Lenmanans from freeing me from my prison. ““You are welcome!” The girls replied.

67. The female gazed across the crystal field feeling the children behind her, she touched one of the crystals with her hand before speaking again.“These crystals that reside in my field hold the magic of every single age that has come to pass. Many warriors and heroes have tried to find it but end up failing that’s why there aren’t any stories of those who have made it. The portal to the Field of Crystals is what decides if a person or creature’s magic energy is at the right level and they are pure the portal would open for them. If they don’t have both of those traits they will not find it.”

68. The female turned to face the girls again as she gazed at them as if reading their magic levels. Niehisa and Ketchakaila didn’t know what to do or say. That’s when the female noticed that the girls had elemental auras surrounding them. The older one looked like Air and Fire while the younger one was earth and water.“What are your names?”“Niehisa” Niehisa answered.“Ketchakaila” Ketchakaila replied.

69. “My name is Selene, I am an elemental. “ the female finally introduced herself. “My skin represents water, my clothing represents the earth, my hair represents fire, my eyes represent spirit…” Selene explained but before she could say the next thing wings sprouted from the elemental’s back revealing to be white . “These wings as well as the white markings on my body represent air.” She finished up before leading the girls back inside where she had been imprisoned.

70. As they reached the brightened room Selene spoke once again.“You two were the first to free me from my prison. I have had only one other visitor hundreds of years ago and he couldn’t figure out the magic of the sculptures like you had. And for that I have a gift for you daughters of Lenmana.”Selene pointed them to where she had been found. The girls followed the elemental’s instructions and soon found themselves facing each other.

71. The swirls of colors started up again as they surrounded the two girls. Niehisa and Ketchakaila could feel some power fill their tiny bodies. The power was strong the girls fought it. It didn’t hurt but it felt like more was occurring than they could handle.

72. The twins remembered the colors surrounding them as they felt themselves be lifted and empowered with the gift they were given to free the elemental. That was all the two of them remembered. The next thing they knew they were waking up in their own little beds. Inside the hut in which they had lived. What had happened they wondered? Was the whole adventure really a dream? Or did it happen for real? If it did happen for real how did they get back home. The girls didn’t feel any different, they looked the same as they always had.

73. “And that was the very first adventure of Niehisa and Ketchakaila.” Aiyana finished the story.“So basically powers come to anyone no matter their gender or how big or small they are. But usually only when needed. Because if I remember correctly the twins powers only came to them when needed” “That’s exactly right the nine of you discovered your powers because you were all needed to defend yourselves against Suni.”

74. Sunset fell as the park became dark the Azures decided to start up the bonfire that they had been so excited about. Jacy-Nova took the honors. A few sparks later and the Family was ready to enjoy the rest of the summer before they had to head back to school.

75. It’s been two years since The Last Native was first published onto Boolprop. That was the start of Forever Flowing the Azure Legacy. I was looking back at some of my first chapters before I started putting in plot and am amazed at how far I have come with this Legacy. My storytelling and characterization has changed for the better these two years and I see more room for improvement in the future. I can’t wait to get started on generation four because I do have many plans for the future of this legacy.

79. First of allNow my sister and I used to be apart of a group called Camp Fire Girls which had some Native American influences. We would learn and do a lot of different things and receive badges and beads for our accomplishments: Sports and games, outdoors and environment, creativity, business and home, citizenship as well as many others for different projects we would work on and do. Not every girl had the same exact beads and badges we got to pick and chose what we wanted to do.

80. At 13 years of age we would make our own Native American gowns and receive our names with our age groups. The names came from a book my mom had many years ago, all the girls in my group had names. The next time we went to the camp we would go to the group would perform a bonfire/welcome dance and sing songs around the bonfire. We actually wore the gowns and performed a Native American Ceremony. The dance was honestly a bit of a challenge to get down, we had practiced the dance and the ceremony for weeks before the Trip in September welcoming the new year.

81. My name was Niehisa. (also spelled: Ni-e-Hi-Sa)The character Niehisa is actually my simself as a child since she is based off of me I figured it would be best.She has the lighter brown hair. Niehisa means “Little Bird” or “Little Bird Who Flies”.My sister’s name was Ketchakaila (also spelled: Ketcha-Kaila)She has the darker brown hair. This character is her child-simself.Ketchakaila means “Little Earth”In reality the two of us are three years (and five days) apart. Just for the story I created them as twins. The twins actually aren’t completely Identical it’s just the clothes and hairstyles that make it seem that way. They actually have different mouths, jaws and noses.

82. There are a lot of people I can thank for helping me out.
