Fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas have historically been the primary industrial fuels due to their energy density and availability. However, combustion of fossil fuels contributes to increased carbon dioxide emissions and global warming. Renewable fuels including biomass from plants and waste materials provide alternatives for reducing dependence on fossil fuels and carbon emissions. Research is developing methods for co-firing renewable fuels or designing dedicated combustion systems to utilize these fuels for industrial heating processes as substitutes for fossil fuels. Fossil fuels will still likely provide most industrial fuel needs in the near future but renewable fuels offer a way to gradually reduce reliance on fossil resources.

This generates electricity. The steam is then condensed in a condenser using cooling water, which is cooled in cooling towers or ponds and recycled. Thermal power plants generate over 75% of India's power by converting the thermal energy from combustion into electrical energy.

1) Coal is crushed into a fine powder and fed into boilers along with air for combustion.
2) In the boilers, the coal is burned to heat water and produce high pressure steam.
3) The steam powers turbines which spin generators to produce electricity.
4) After passing through the turbines, the steam is condensed back into water in condensers to complete the steam cycle.

Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
