This document announces a one-day safari tour on March 23rd in Sydney exploring the transformation of the Australian retail landscape. The tour will include site visits to retailers innovating in the changing competitive environment and a presentation from Jonathan Reeve. Participants will learn about the challenges faced by incumbent retailers from new niche and nimble competitors as well as large global firms looking to take market share. The tour is organized by Daryl Babusan and Josephine Napoli and will feature presentations from Paul Greenberg of NORA, Rachel Kelly of the Retail Collective, and Dominique Lamb of the National Retail Association.

Rachel Kelly is an experienced senior
executive acknowledged for her
ability to critically assess complex
retail businesses to catalyse, drive
and achieve growth. In her previous
roles as CEO of T2 Tea and Executive
Director of the Just Group, Rachel was
a passionate advocate for enhancing
the retail industry as a profession
that builds talent, competence and
success as a key driver of employment,
entrepreneurship and wealth creation.
This has lead her to be an Angel
Investor, Advisory Board Member for a
number of global start ups as well as
consult in the retail tech space with
brands like Afterpay.
Paul Greenberg is the founder of the
NORA Network, a peak retail body
established around four years ago.
Prior to that he was the co-founder of
DealsDirect, a pioneer online retailer
in Australia. Paul has had an
entrepreneurial / retail related career
spanning nearly four decades. He is
a registered psychologist with a keen
interest in organizational psychology.
Outside of his NORA role, Paul holds
a portfolio of advisory and investment
roles, including in dynamic retail tech
businesses like Afterpay.
Dominique Lamb is the CEO of the
National Retail Association and
Director of NRA Legal, providing
industrial relations and employment
law advice to a range of small, medium
and large businesses across a range of
industries. As the CEO of the National
Retail Association, Dominique plays an
integral role by liaising and advocating
on behalf of retailers at a Federal and
State Government level on all areas of
policy which affect retail businesses
both large and small.
