The Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship aims to provide the knowledge, skills, and attributes to lead in the adult care sector, such as in homes, day centers, or healthcare settings. The apprenticeship typically takes 16-18 months and includes gaining qualifications like the Level 3 Diploma in Lead Adult Care and English and math at Level 2. Apprentices will develop skills, knowledge, and behaviors through on-the-job training and study modules while building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their competencies in areas like communication, safety, and person-centered care during a final independent assessment.

2. PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The aim of the programme is to ensure you gain the knowledge, skills and attributes required
to confidently lead in the Adult Care sector. This may include frontline care for vulnerable
adults within their own homes, day care centres, residential and nursing homes and other
healthcare settings. The duration of this apprenticeship programme is typically 16 to 18 months.

LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN ADULT CARE
9 mandatory units, designed to develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills
in the following areas:
Develop knowledge and skills in a variety of other areas by selecting optional
units aimed at enhancing individual career development.
CARE CERTIFICATE
The 15 standards as set out in the Care Certificate - builds on the previous
Common Induction Standards (CIS) and National Minimum Training Standards, is
a requirement for all Apprentices on this standard.
STUDY MODULES
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Support available to achieve Level 2 Functional SKills in Maths & English, if
required.
Throughout this apprenticeship you will be supported by an experienced tutor, providing continuous information, advice
and guidance and ensure you are fully prepared to achieve the end point assessment and flourish in your career.
