This document provides a strategic planning portfolio for Janet Wang. It includes case studies from her time at Miami Ad School exemplifying her ability to distill complex information into simple, significant points. The first case study aims to prevent teen tobacco use through an insight that the first cigarette experience is often awkward and uncomfortable, encouraging teens to share this to dissuade further smoking. The second case study aims to protect and grow Netflix's subscriber base by convincing retirees to "relive the good times" on Netflix by reminding them of movies that span their lives. The third case study aims to help small businesses by removing the taboo of failure and encouraging entrepreneurs' confidence through risk-taking. The fourth presents an opportunity for a sustainable hotel

Les Clefs d'Or began in the early 20th century when Swiss concierges at grand hotels created the first modern concierge role and expanded to other European cities. In 1929, prominent concierges from Paris met to share service tips and ideas, and many European countries formed national concierge societies. In 1952, delegates from seven European nations founded the Union Europeene des Portiers des Grands Hotels at their first congress in Cannes. Les Clefs d'Or concierges can be identified by the crossed gold keys displayed on their uniforms, which symbolize guaranteed quality service.

E cigarettes – the unsurpassed technique to quit smokingecigarettereviewed
This document summarizes the benefits of e-cigarettes compared to traditional cigarettes. It states that e-cigarettes do not contain harmful chemicals, but rather produce flavored vapor from nicotine. While e-cigarettes may not help one completely quit smoking, the document argues they are a safer alternative and can save one's life by reducing conventional cigarette smoking. Some concerns are raised about potential addiction to nicotine from e-cigarettes, but the advantages are said to outweigh the disadvantages.
This document discusses teenage smoking and its causes and effects. It finds that peer pressure is a major influence on teenage smoking as most teens start smoking due to influence from friends. Nicotine is highly addictive for developing teen brains and long term effects of teen smoking include increased risk of addiction and mental health issues. The document recommends increasing education on smoking harms, banning public smoking and advertising, and improving parental guidance to curb teenage smoking.
- More than 10,000 Malaysians die from smoking-related illnesses every year, and about 50 teenagers under 18 start smoking daily, most becoming hardcore smokers.
- A 28-year-old man started smoking at age 16 due to peer pressure but later suffered health effects like bad skin, yellow teeth, and mood issues.
- He quit after seeing his hospitalized uncle with lung cancer, knowing he risked the same fate if he continued. He advises today's youth to avoid smoking.

This document summarizes key principles of persuasion and influence from Robert Cialdini's book, Influence. It discusses the power of social proof, reciprocity, commitment and consistency, authority, liking, and scarcity in convincing and motivating people. Specific tactics described include highlighting what others are doing, asking for small favors to activate reciprocity, getting written commitments, personalizing messages, and using limited-time offers.
The document discusses ideas for public awareness campaigns covering several social issues:
1) It proposes a campaign to increase awareness and understanding of diverse sexualities and identities through symbols and posters representing multiple perspectives.
2) It suggests promoting sexual health education in schools starting at age 10 to teach students about their bodies, protection, and sexually transmitted diseases.
3) It recommends addressing littering and encouraging proper disposal of trash as well as increased recycling in public spaces through signs and images of the environmental impacts of litter.
4) It discusses the importance of addressing mental health issues by encouraging therapy and support for all, especially men, and ensuring access to counselors in schools and workplaces.

Tiara Morris presents three potential documentary ideas:
1. A documentary about organic vs. non-organic food products, exploring how they are sold in stores and consumer preferences.
2. A documentary about children's use of technology, as she has noticed her young sister relying heavily on the TV.
3. A documentary about smoking rates and youth smoking. Tiara has noticed many youth smoking and believes overall rates may be increasing.

When his mother dies, the Walkman and tape are the last connection he has to her. Throughout his life, listening to the music on the tape helps him feel close to his mother and gives him comfort. The Walkman and music also help him feel less alone as he goes through difficult times. They become a source of strength and joy for him even when he is isolated from Earth and his original home.

5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT or Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that serves a range of roles in the human body. It is sometimes referred to as the happy chemical since it promotes overall well-being and happiness.
It is mostly found in the brain, intestines, and blood platelets.
5-HT is utilised to transport messages between nerve cells, is known to be involved in smooth muscle contraction, and adds to overall well-being and pleasure, among other benefits. 5-HT regulates the body's sleep-wake cycles and internal clock by acting as a precursor to melatonin.
It is hypothesised to regulate hunger, emotions, motor, cognitive, and autonomic processes.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

I am stimulated by big problems, systems, high impact trends,
patterns, and popular culture.
I have worked with leading clients in the online social networking,
online retail, and hospitality industries as a senior economic
consultant with Deloitte. I was on the founding team of a social
venture technology start-up, helped produce an international
social enterprise conference that drew 1,300+ attendees from
40+ countries, and spent time in Kenya assisting a micro-
enterprise beekeeping initiative. My work is guided by an interest
in systems, human-centered design and market based solutions.
I have fostered an interest in the arts and creative expression
through years of performance and competitive dance, art history
and visual arts courses, and am an avid origami and collage arts
practitioner. I am also a vegetarian, practice yoga/meditation, and
have completed three 10-day fasts for spiritual, mental and
physical health.
