When I first started taking this class I thought I was pretty aware of my religious landscape. I thought most of us here in the Salt Lake Valley were Mormons and there were some Jews and a lot of Muslims, Buddhists, Baptist, Catholics and Christians in the area. Before taking this class I had never even heard of Sikhism or Wicca. I did not know there was any difference in Buddhism and Hinduism, and I had no idea there were so many different types of Hindus. I figured there were a lot of different types of Christians but there are actually way more different types of Christians than I thought there was. I think the group religious landscape assignment was a great assignment to begin the semester with. After watching the "God in America” videos and doing the religious landscape assignment I learned that there was so much I did not know or understand about religions that in America and my own city (Salt Lake City). I was quickly amazed at how many different religions resided in a single, small, one-mile radius area of Salt Lake City (My group studied the area around Trolly Square). I really enjoyed this class, I’m now much more aware of my religious landscape, and I can see that we Mormons are not the center religion of Utah and that we are only a very small percentage of religious people in the United States. Taking this class has even helped me to better understand my own religion (Mormonism) as well as all the other popular religions around.

Belu district and East Nusa Tenggara provincial government officials have begun work on a joint building project with St. Michael’s Parish in Biudukfoho to provide a new chapel and housing for Catholics in Weain village.
Construction of a 108-square-meter chapel began earlier this month on land near the Lourdes Shrine donated by a local parishioner and is expected to finish in November.
The shrine has in recent years become a retreat site for local Catholics.

What Should be the Christian View of Anime?Joe Muraguri
We will learn what Anime is and see what a Christian should consider before watching anime movies? We will also learn a little bit of Shintoism religion and hentai (the craze of internet pornography today).
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For
I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something
to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I
