5. Enter your Metadata via BowkerLink
• Mandatory fields are indicated by an asterisk (*).
*Title Information – ISBN, Title, Binding & Subject.
*Contributor (Author/Editor)
*Sales Information – Status, Publication Date, Price, Price Type & Currency
*Audience Information – Target Market (Trade/Adult Education/Professional).
Once these fields are completed Finish and Save!
• E-Books
You can enter an e-Book in the same manner as you would do so for a print
book. The only difference being the binding, E-Book can be selected from the
drop down menu.

6. • Search Title
Enter the ISBN or Title and select the Status to find an individual title. To see your
list of titles, simply select the Search button. A list of your titles will appear.
• Add Title
Always Search for the ISBN first, if this title already exists but is not listed within
your own list, please contact myself with the ISBN in question. Enter only the
mandatory* fields. Once the title is “live” then enter additional data.
• Publisher Information
Your company information is listed here. Edit and submit for changes to be made.
• View Pending Transactions
Once a new title has been entered or an update has been made, the title will be
displayed in VPT. Once the title no longer appears in VPT, only then can you edit
or add additional information, such as upload a cover image.

Volume and Edition numbers can be added here. As well as linking a new
to old ISBN and visa versa.

Series Title Information and Sales Rights Information can be added here.

8. Submit your Enriched Data
This is the marketing information that allows your users to decide if they
want to read or purchase it.
• To add an Annotation
To provide a brief description of the title (25-250 words) select
Additional Title Information » at the bottom of the Title Page. Scroll & select
Add Additional Annotation. Enter text into the box that appears.
• Uploading a Cover Image
Either select Upload Image when you for the Search Title.

Once in the main Title Information page, scroll to the bottom of the page
and select Upload Cover Image »
Images are accepted in the following formats JPEG, TIFF or GIF. Each scan needs
to be a separate file, named by its ISBN with the file suffix e.g.9781234567890.jpg.
Incorrectly named images cannot be loaded.

9. Your BowkerLink Overview
• Search an ISBN before entering a new title, it may already exist on the
database.
• When entering a new title, complete only the mandatory* data fields.
Once the title is “live”, then go back in and add additional information.
• You can keep track of your new entries and updates in View Pending
Transactions.
• A Cover Image can only be uploaded once the title is “live” i.e. no
longer appears in View Pending Transactions.
• Helpful information and instructions can be found in Help and FAQs.
• If you cannot find your answer on the site, please do not hesitate to
