IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE  HI-TECH TO INTEGRATE HOME INVOLVEMENT WITH STUDENT LEARNING. It could be as easy as sending home a worksheet that has additional instructions copied on the back.
IT COULD BE A PROJECT THAT INVOLVES THE FAMILY IN SEEKING WAYS TO BE CREATIVE. The City Project is one great  way to involve the family. The parent signs the initial grade sheet for the project and is made aware of the requirements and due date.
