Dave Calvert worked for me at Caterpillar for over 5 years as a Senior Manager of New Product
Introductions. This position involved managing end-to-end responsibilities for the global
concept, design, development and introduction of new machines. This position had a very broad
scope, beginning with gathering the voice of customers, developing a detailed project plan, and
collaborating across the Company and external supply base to achieve overall program goals
for productivity, quality, cost and a timely introduction.
Dave built winning Teams and DELIVERED winning new Products, including off-highway trucks
for both developed and emerging markets, as well as wheel tractor scrapers. He was a
corporate advocate for process adherence, including APQP, Lean Product Development, and 6-
Sigma. Dave created a culture of trust, engagement and commitment. I am happy to provide a
