16. Intensity of Language Avoid using the following types of words: Negative Evaluative Words Ex/ ugly, fat, weird, stupid, strange, etc. Strong Emotive Words - words that clearly show a speaker’s bias Abusive Language - name calling, obscenity, insults, swear words, etc.
