We are a diverse team of scientists, technologists, and entrepreneurs working together towards
more quality and integrity in science. We currently have around 70 employees with more than 25
different nationalities, mainly based in Berlin, Germany with some exceptions in France and the
UK. Ever since Covid-19 started, we realized that the remote working environment works well for
us, which is why we adopted the hybrid work model where employees can choose to come to
the office or work remotely.
Testing the unknown: the art and science of working with hypothesisArdita Karaj
Testing what we know, or have a clear understanding of, is relatively straight forward, as is making decisions based on the expected result. But today’s world is presenting us with the Unknown and the Ambiguous, which can only be approached by hypothesizing and experimenting - a lot! This requires intentional thinking, and a different strategy to observe in context.
This session will uncover how testers are helping their teams and product owners, by basing their testing on the science behind creating hypotheses and running experiments. A testing mindset and probing the context around use cases are some of the most valuable competencies testers bring to the team in order to enable decisions based on data.

This advanced track project from the HPI School of Design Thinking aimed at helping an international fiber company to develope more innovative products. We were cooperating with several partners from the industry such as SAP Innovation Center, Telekom Creation Center, AUDI AG, Porsche AG and the Forschungskuratorium Textile. The design professor Alejandro Lecuna was one of our marvelous coaches. We developed two final prototypes which we tested with relevant stakeholders and presented the results to the top management team and the CEO of the company.

So where does Australian organisational learning stand on the world stage. Are we aspiring for excellence or just cruising? Is the tall poppy syndrome at work? The Australian academic sector (Universities and Schools) has a structured and focused approach to defining what excellence in learning means and how to achieve it. This approach seems to be missing in organisational and corporate learning. Maybe we are running so fast that we may never stop to improve our running technique. We talk to an experienced panel that architect and manage Learning in their organisations to deliver business results. We will ask what Learning excellence means to them and how they plan to get there

A cross-discipline team at ASAE is inventing a new product development process for associations so that you don’t have to. Here's a summary of how ASAE evaluates new product proposals, who makes the decisions, and with what criteria. This presentation to the Kansas City Society of Association Executives (KCSAE) also explains how to encourage innovation, fill the idea pipeline, and analyze and balance an organization’s entire portfolio of programs, products, and services.
The final slides pose questions designed to help you create a process for making decisions about what programs, products, and services to offer—and which to discontinue, and when. This step-by-step process will help you put ASAE's new product development principles into practice at your own association - based on your size, resources, and needs.
