4. How do we conjugate verbs that end in –RE?;
To conjugate regular –RE verbs in the present tense, we need to follow the steps
below using vendre (to sell) as an example;
Write down horizontally all the 7 major personal pronouns;
Je (I)
Tu (You;singular/friendly form)
Il (He)
Elle (She)
Nous (We)
Vous (You; plural/ polite form)
Ils (They; All masculine or a mixture of both genders)
Elles (They/ All feminine)

5. Add the Infinitive form of the verb to the personal pronouns listed
and strike out the -RE endings;
Je vendre
Tu vendre
Il vendre
Elle vendre
Nous vendre
Vous vendre
Ils vendre
Elles vendre
Now what you have is “VEND” after each pronoun;

6. Then add the endings or “terminaisons” s, s, -, -ons, -ez and -ent, to
the verb of each pronoun respectively as written out;
Je vends (I sell/I am selling)
Tu vends(You sell/You are selling)
Il vend (He sells/He is selling)
Elle vend (She sells/She is selling)
Nous vendons (We sell/We are selling)
Vous vendez (You sell/You are selling)
Ils vendent (They sell/They are selling)
Elles vendent (They sell/They are selling)
