This presentation was given by Helen Edwards and Matt Pearce from Gloucestershire CCG.
This one day conference aimed to respond to increasing interest in social prescribing. It presented the latest academic and applied research with particular reference to the role that arts and cultural activities play in social prescribing. A range of workshops that took place introduced a range of established arts and cultural programmes, highlighted good practice approaches in mental health and wellbeing and encouraged debate on how to most effectively commission, fund and evaluate social prescribing schemes.
The conference was delivered in partnership by NEF and academics leading the AHRC-funded Art of Social Prescribing project at Liverpool John Moores University. It is a Making Connections event, part of the Cultural Commissioning Programme, an Arts Council England funded initiative to support commissioners, arts & cultural sector and policymakers with undertaking cultural commissioning to improve public service outcomes. www.ncvo.org/CCProg.

Healthcare Organization
In this assignment, a non-profit organization that aims to promote care for patients with hypertension and diabetes will be created. The type of organization created is a specialized healthcare center that promotes the provision of effective healthcare services to patients who suffer from diabetes and hypertension. Additionally, the organization will create awareness about the conditions that may increase the risk of an individual contracting the two diseases. The name of the healthcare facility will be ‘Preventative Care Clinic.’
The facility mission will be “to increase the quality of life for the people battling diabetes and hypertension by providing high-quality patient-centered care to them as well as educating the population on the best ways that may be used to prevent oneself from suffering from the two illnesses.” The vision of the facility will be “to create an environment where the people with diabetes and hypertension can access care services regardless of their level of income.”
‘Preventative Care Clinic’ aims to identify the victims of diabetes and hypertension and provide them with the appropriate care that is needed as well as availing the necessary resources to them. By doing this, the clinic will promote the increase of the quality of life among the individuals who have diabetes and hypertension. Hypertension and diabetes are some of the lifestyle diseases that are increasing at a higher rate daily. Thus, by promoting effective care to the people who have illnesses, the health outcomes of the population will be promoted.
The healthcare facility will offer services such as identifying individuals with diabetes and hypertension and providing effective care to them by addressing their individual needs, providing nutritional counseling, providing eye, foot, and skin care to patients, Medicare care, promoting patient’s awareness on managing medical interventions and ensuring the utilization of coping mechanisms for chronic illnesses. Preventative Care Clinic will be located in Austin, Texas due to Texas being one of the states in the U.S. with the lowest standards of healthcare services. Additionally, Texas has a high percentage rate of uninsured and underinsured residents, therefore, locating the healthcare facility in the location will ensure that many residents have access to the healthcare facility. Preventative Care Clinic will be medium-sized healthcare facility which will enable the facility to attend and service more patients in the location. The approximate number of employees that will be required will be 350.
Data Examination
As indicated above, the healthcare facility will be located in Austin, Texas. The city has a total population of 978,908 (City Data, n.d.). In the population of Austin, 99% of the population is in the urban area while only 1% is in the rural area. The proportion of the male populat.

We are happy to present this album which traces the path of development in India, since 1988.
In the year 1977, WSKO delegates came to India as part of the BBC documentary “Way of the Warrior.” Subsequently, Sensei Kirtie Kumar Futnani was selected from India to train in Kongo Zen Shorinji Kempo, Shikoku, Japan.
Sensei Kirtie brought back the art and started his first dojo at Madras in 1988.
Sensei Maxwell Jude Anthony, succeeded him in 1995 and took on the herculean task of establishing the art firmly India.
The Classic Photo Album summarizes the happenings in India from 1988 to 2015.

Sensei Maxwell Jude regards varmakalai as of prime significance in the communication of non-violence (ahimsa), that which is central to the transformation of the human mind and the creation of a new culture.
This is the thrilling story of Bodhi Dharuma and his teachings in China. The origins of Tantric Buddhism advanced teachings in Kanchi, which is now popularly known as Zen.

Sensei Kirtie Kumar Futnani, brought the teachings of Kongo Zen Shorinji Kempo from Kongo Zen Sohanzan Shorinji, Japan. This is the compilation of his most profound teachings that changed our lives forever.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

diagnostics or interventions.

A more cost-efficient strategy may be to integrate a palliative approach
to care throughout the health care system. Such an approach would
ensure that clinicians in all settings are able to: recognize when patients
and families can benefit from hospice palliative interventions; provide
appropriate services; and access support and advice from Kutastha
palliative care specialist physicians and/or nurses.

This type of low-cost strategy could make it possible for the health care
system to respond to patient and family needs in the home and local
community, avoiding costly transfers to large urban hospitals and
potentially unnecessary or unwanted curative interventions. this approach
would mean not only “the right care at the right time” but also care in
the settings that most patients prefer: in the home and community

According to a World Health Organization report, the issue is not the
need for more research on palliative care practices but rather the
ability to implement what is known to address large and growing unmet
needs. {Davies, 2004} however, based on a special report by the
economist intelligence unit, even if Kutastha palliative care improves
quality and offers efficiencies, improving access will be a challenge.

In a retrospective study of cancer patients, for example, symptoms such as pain,
nausea, fatigue and dyspnea tended to be severe at the point of admission to a
palliative care inpatient service. {elsayem et al., 2004} Care in a palliative
inpatient unit was associated not only with improvement in symptoms but also
with a reduction in costs: the mean daily charge in the palliative care unit was
38% lower than the rest of the hospital. {elsayem et al., 2004}
