- Advance Meter Infrastructure (AMI) - The single and three phase smart electric meters with Embee
wireless communications will help utilities optimize their operations through simplified access to consumer
energy demand, consumption, time-of-use and interval data, alarms, and power-quality data from smart meters.

5. On-line prepaid solution for Africa electricity market
- AMI + Prepaid - The smart prepaid solution is an online solution where smart meter is used as
measuring device and all the financial transactions are carried out at the server end. With the use of smart
meter utility is always connected with meter and have total control of it. Financial transactions at server end
enable a utility to have faster & better control of all the changes in tariffs, Government duties, and Rebates.

6. Demand response solution with AUTOGRID DROM software
AMI + Demand Response (DR) – The residential customers with smart meters can take part in reducing
the peak load. Utility company with generation has control reducing of peak consumption, avoided
generation, has DR benefit like cost saved for peak. Customers have possibility to sell own peak
consumptions and reduce price kW in the bill.

7. AMI + Power management system (PMS)
AMI + Power management system (PMS) is in charge of controlling the electrical system. Its task is
to make sure that the electrical distribution system is safe and efficient. If the power consumption is larger
than the power production capacity, load shedding is used to avoid blackout. Other features could be to
automatic start and stop consumers (e.g., diesel generators, solar PV, Wind turbine) as the load varies.
