A leadership development training was conducted for young women in Goa, India. The training was a partnership between the University of Florida and Rahab's Rope, an NGO working with at-risk women and children. The six-session training covered topics like self-esteem, working with others, and goals/dreams. Thirteen women ages 15-26 participated. Evaluations found the training increased leadership skills and participants believed the skills could help themselves and others. Recommendations included continuing the program in other areas and further research on leadership development's impact on sex trafficking.
