Fresno State’s Kremen School of Education and Human Development to host first
open house event
Fresno, Calif. – Fresno State’s Kremen School of Education will host its first open house
event to inform students about the many post baccalaureate programs offered at Fresno
State. The open house event will take place on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Fresno State
students who are interested in pursuing a career in education are encouraged to attend the
free event and play games while learning about the many programs offered by the Kremen
School.
The event will take place in the lobby and basement of Fresno State’s Kremen building
located on campus from 2 p.m. There will be many activities including trivia questions and
games that students can participate in to win prizes and be entered in a raffle to win a gift
card.
The goal of the open house event is to instill in students an interest in teaching. The event is
open to all students nearing graduation and interested in pursuing a post baccalaureate
degree in teaching or education administration.
Through the open house, the Kremen School will encourage study in the field of education
and tackle California’s 200,000-teacher shortage.
“ We work to get students qualified to teach in California schools,” said Dr. Lisa Bennett,
coordinator of the Multiple Subject Credential Program at Fresno State. “ We want students
to learn about the many ways that teaching in California has evolved and hopefully
encourage them to pursue a career in teaching.”
For additional information, please contact Dr. Bennett at lbennett@csufresno.edu.
