  One
  day
  there
  lived
  a
  li.le
  red

hen
  who
  found
  a
  grain
  of
  wheat.

Li.le
  red
  hen
  ques8oned,
  “Who

will
  plant
  this
  wheat?”

  “I
  won’t,”
  groaned
  the
  bird.

  “I
  won’t,”
  barked
  the
  dog.

  “I
  won’t,”
  meowed
  the
  cat.

  “I
  won’t,”
  disagreed
  the
  duck.

  So
  li.le
  red
  hen
  decided
  to

plant
  the
  wheat
  on
  her
  own.
  As

the
  sun
  shined
  and
  the
  li.le

red
  hen
  thought,
  who
  will
  help
  me
  pick

this
  wheat?
  asked
  li.le
  red
  hen.

  “I
  won’t,”
  groaned
  the
  bird.

  “I
  won’t,”
  barked
  the
  dog.

  “I
  won’t,”
  meowed
  the
  cat.

  “I
  won’t,”
  disagreed
  the
  duck.

  “ Then
  I
  will,”
  said
  the
  li.le
  red
  hen.

Now,
  who
  will
  help
  me
  cut
  the
  wheat
  in

the
  market?

  “I
  won’t,”
  groaned
  the
  bird.

  “I
  won’t,”
  barked
  the
  dog.

  “I
  won’t,”
  meowed
  the
  cat.

“I
  won’t,”
  disagreed
  the
  duck.

So
  the
  li.le
  red
  hen
  brought

the
  wheat
  to
  the
  market.

“Hello
  Mrs.
  Cu.er,”
  stated
  li.le

red
  hen.

“Well
  hello!”
  exclaimed
  Mrs.

Cu.er.

“I
  was
  wondering
  if
  you
  could

cut
  this
  wheat
  that
  I
  have

grown?”

“Absolutely,”
  answered
  Mrs.

Cu.er.

  So
  Mrs.
  Cu.er
  cut
  the

wheat.

  When
  Mrs.
  Cu.er

was
  done,
  the
  li.le
  red
  hen
  brought
  it

back
  to
  the
  farm.

  “Who
  will
  help
  me
  bake
  this

  wheat
  bread?”
  asked
  li.le
  red

  hen.

  “I
  won’t,”
  groaned
  the
  bird.

  “I
  won’t,”
  barked
  the
  dog.

  “I
  won’t,”
  meowed
  the
  cat.

  “I
  won’t,”
  disagreed
  the
  duck.

So,
  the
  li.le
  red
  hen
  baked
  the
  wheat

bread
  for
  45
  minutes.

  When
  the

wheat
  was
  almost
  done
  cooking,
  the

other
  farm
  animals
  smelled
  the

fresh
  wheat
  bread
  and
  came
  in.

  “Who
  will
  help
  me
  eat
  the
  fresh

  wheat
  bread?”
  asked
  the
  li.le
  red

  hen.

  “I
  will!”
  exclaimed
  the
  bird.

  “I
  will!”
  exclaimed
  the
  dog.

  “I
  will!”
  exclaimed
  the
  cat.

  “I
  will!”
  exclaimed
  the
  duck.

So,
  the
  li.le
  red
  hen
  decided
  to
  share!
