The little red hen finds some grains of wheat and asks her friends (a cat, dog, pig, and duck) to help plant and harvest the wheat, but they all refuse. The hen does all the work herself to plant, harvest, grind, and bake the wheat into bread. When the bread is done, it smells delicious and the friends all want some, but the hen refuses to share since they did not help with any of the work. She eats the bread herself.

seeds?

cat.

barked
dog.
“I
won’t”,
oinked
pig.

won’t”,
quaked
duck.

hen.
Hen
plants
the
seeds
and
the
wheat
grows
to
be
huge,
tall
wheat.
Now
she
needed
to
pick
the
wheat,
she
asked
her
friends
if
they
wanted
to
pick
the
wheat
with
her
and
said.
“I
won’t”,
cried
cat
“I
won’t”,
barked
dog.
“I
won’t”,
oinked
pig.
“I
won’t”,
quaked
duck.

So

picked
the
wheat.
Then
hen
needed
to
grind
the
wheat.

she

friends

wheat

hen
grinded
the
wheat
at
the
mill
and
now
she
has
a
bag
of
flower.
She
thinks
of
what
to
do
with
the
flower.
“Now
I
Know”,
squawked
hen.
I’ll
make
bread.
So
hen
put
all
of
the
ingredients
into
the
bread
pan
and
baked
it
for
two
hours.

When
she
took
the
bread
out
it
smelled
delicious
and
cat,
dog,
pig,
and
duck
came
running
in.
Hen
said,
“Who
wants
some
bread.”
And
they
all
said.
“I
do!”,
cried
cat.
“I
do!”,
barked
dog.
“I
do!”,
oinked
pig.
“I
do!”,
quaked
duck.
“I
will
have
all
of
it
because
none
of
you
helped
me
do
anything
to
make
this
bread.”
So
she
ate
the
bread
and
it
was
very
good.
