Introduction
• RRA recognizes the importance of managing knowledge and
experience of its employees with the aim of capturing, organizing,
storing knowledge and making it available for others to use in the
organization to make best use of it in their day to day activities.
• The overall objective of establishing KM in RRA is that Knowledge
plays an important role in the success of the Organization.
• In RRA we believe that 80% of knowledge required for the critical
success of RRA business is in the minds of experienced employees.

Benefits
• Promotes sharing and application of knowledge which is a straightforward success to the RRA
business.
• Improves flow and access to the right knowledge information from the right source at the right time to
people who need it.
• Improves the RRA staff ability to innovate, solve problems, grow professionally, and perform their
jobs more effectively
• Minimizes the risk of knowledge loss due to experienced staff due to resignation, retirement etc
• Helps RRA to become a knowledge-driven organization that learns from its mistakes and builds on its
successes.
• Helps to organize and distribute RRA’s corporate memory so that it can be accessed even after the
original sources of knowledge no longer remain within the organization.

Our Focus
• Cultivate a knowledge management culture within Rwanda Revenue Authority
• Strengthen the existing learning and collaboration environment within RRA
• Implement Organization-wide knowledge management processes, practices and
tools
• Establishing and utilization of a centralized repository for knowledge and
information assets
• The integration of collaboration in day-to-day work by instituting learning and
support approaches, bringing together knowledge and expertise from across the
organization to increase learning, innovation, and impact in developing RRA staff.
