+ KISS Breakfast is the morning show played on Kiss which is part of a digital radio
station owned and operated by BAUER Media. It's part of the Kiss Network.
+ Target audience are 15-34 year olds.
+ Kiss is broadcast nationally to the UK and on DAB digital radio as well as on FM in
London, Bristol and East Anglia.
+ Kiss started as a pirate radio station in the 1980's called Kiss FM and became the first
legal radio station to specialise in black and dance music.
+ Kiss is now a multimedia brand engaging audiences over a range of different platforms
including social media and digital video streaming.
+ As of December 2021, the Kiss radio station has a weekly audience of 2.7 million
listeners.

• KISS Breakfast show is presented by Jordan and Perri. They rose to fame via the commercial
television show Britain's Got Talent. They were part of a popular dance group called Diversity.

The KISS Network
+ Kiss, Kisstory & Kiss Fresh. Each of these targets its own
audience within the 15- 34 age group with different styles
and types of content. All three are available on a number
of different platforms, but the range is not the same for
each one of the brands. All are available on the KISS
website and the Kiss Kube App, but only Kiss is available
on FM radio. Only Kiss and Kisstory can be received on
DAB radio.

  • 2. KISS Breakfast + KISS Breakfast is the morning show played on Kiss which is part of a digital radio station owned and operated by BAUER Media. It's part of the Kiss Network. + Target audience are 15-34 year olds. + Kiss is broadcast nationally to the UK and on DAB digital radio as well as on FM in London, Bristol and East Anglia. + Kiss started as a pirate radio station in the 1980's called Kiss FM and became the first legal radio station to specialise in black and dance music. + Kiss is now a multimedia brand engaging audiences over a range of different platforms including social media and digital video streaming. + As of December 2021, the Kiss radio station has a weekly audience of 2.7 million listeners.
  • 3. KISS Breakfast Presenters • KISS Breakfast show is presented by Jordan and Perri. They rose to fame via the commercial television show Britain's Got Talent. They were part of a popular dance group called Diversity. • What are your initial thoughts on the personalities of the two presenters? • Why do you think they were chosen?
  • 4. Analysis of the Kiss Breakfast Show You're going to listen to a few minutes of the breakfast show with Jordan and Perri. Write down the answers to these questions: + What radio conventions are encoded ? + How do the presenters speak to their audiences?   • 5. The KISS Network + Kiss, Kisstory & Kiss Fresh. Each of these targets its own audience within the 15- 34 age group with different styles and types of content. All three are available on a number of different platforms, but the range is not the same for each one of the brands. All are available on the KISS website and the Kiss Kube App, but only Kiss is available on FM radio. Only Kiss and Kisstory can be received on DAB radio. • What type of content is available on the other KISS network radio channels? • How do their styles and content differ?
