The KICS PYP Exhibition 2014 gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their learning in the PYP program by independently researching a real-life issue, exploring multiple perspectives on the issue, taking action on their learning, and presenting their findings. Students are assessed on skills, processes, and attitudes using rubrics that emphasize the learning process over products. The exhibition takes place over 12 weeks, from identifying issues through conducting action and presenting. Parents play a role by supporting students' independent research, reflecting on the learning process, communicating with teachers, and celebrating the final exhibition presentations.
