Keynote "Health IT Through your Customers’ Eyes: What Meaningful Use and The HIT Strategic Plan Say About The Changing Health Care Market" Since 2009 the federal EHR incentive program has challenged providers to adopt, use, and interoperate with new information technologies. The criteria for incentive payments sometimes seem burdensome or irrelevant to providers. Most recently, a federal HIT strategic plan has outlined the likely federal programs and requirements over the next six years. This session will dissect the competing interests shaping these programs, and what large public and private health care purchasers - including CMS and large employers - are expecting from IT investments over the next decade.
