The key features that I will be focusing on
throughout the duration of the Main task and
referring back to while producing the opening
sequel to a thriller film are:

Atmosphere
  Narrative
Characters
    Genre
Atmosphere
As the genre I will be
focusing on is thriller
the atmosphere in the
film and the atmosphere
that builds up in the
audience will be very
intense. The atmosphere
will be most likely be
determined by the
narrative of the film and
how engaged the
audience is.
Narrative
The narrative of the film must
represent the genre as well as this
to make it a good and effective
narrative it must include certain
codes and conventions to keep the
audience engaged and anticipated
as unlike other genres it is up to
the viewer to imagine what the
conclusion on the film is going to
be. These codes and convention
may include nerve- wracking
tension, heightened expectation
and suspense.
Characters
The clothing in which the
characters wear have to be
suitable and reflected back to
the genre. For example wearing
school uniform for a thriller
film would make the film look
unprofessional and tacky
unless the setting of the film is
a school. As well as this the
making of the characters is
important as they are who the
audience will be focusing on
and engaging with throughout
the opening sequel
Genre
All the codes and
conventions used in the
opening sequel must
reflect the genre of the
film so the scene is not
out of place. As well as
this I must focus on what
should not be included in
the film such as weapons
as this may turn the
thriller genre in a sub
genre with horror.
