4. Epidemiology According to the
WHO's "The study of distribution
and determinants of health-related
events in populations and the
application of research to solving
health problems (Cahyono, 2004).
Based on report cited by
Robin, 2014. In epidemiology, there
are 3 main things, namely:
Frequency Health
Problems
Distribution of Health
Problems
Determinant
5. Laboratory workers is among the first to be exposed to the
specimen or material examination of such infectious (HIV,
typhoid, and hepatitis). The entry of the virus into the body of
the laboratory workers led to the outbreak of disease into the
body of laboratory personnel. In its work the laboratory
personnel are required to use protective equipment that serves
to minimize contamination and the spread in the
implementation of the work. Laboratory workers have not
been fully obedient to the use of personal protective equipment
when put through his work.
Therefore, the author takes the theme of the use of
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) against the spread of
disease (Hepatitis) in laboratory workers Hospital.
Background
6. Research methodology
LOCATION:
Laboratory of Hospital
Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan
TIME :
October 20 until 3 November
2015.
METHOD :
Descriptive as a surveillance
method using cross sectional
approach,
POPULATION :
All officers in Laboratory of
hospitals Banjarbaru totaling 17
people
DATA COLLECTION :
Questionnaires
DATA COLLECTION PROCESS :
1. Research ethics (Informed content , Anonymity,
Condfidentiality )
2. Data Processing Diagram form
7. 1. The use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment
yourself)
Results and Discussion
8. 2. Examination of vaccine to the Officers to avoid the spread
of Hepatitis
11. 5. Increased disease (Hepatitis) to patients based Laboratory will
increase alertness yourself on officer
12. Conclusion
1. It is known that the use of PPE at the concierge is good enough, but
there are outside factors that affect the health of laboratory personnel.
Then in terms of the behavior of those with less adherent when in a
laboratory room, the officers consume foods and beverages in the
same space.
2. Where laboratory workers who do not use PPE in accordance with
the standards: then there is its susceptibility to the spread of disease
Hepatitis example. In terms of research on this observation on find
one of the officers affected by diseases such as hepatitis, but due to
the negligence of the officer on duty. Because at the hospital,
according to the officer's own standard use of PPE is in conformity
with the standards of laboratory Hospital.
