The United States enters Cambodia On April 30, 1970 President Nixon declared that the United States was to execute  an imminent attack against "major enemy sanctuaries on the Cambodian-Vietnam border.”

Cont. The students then became outraged and started saying things like, “Pigs off campus” Students also threw the tear gas back along with rocks It was at this point that the National Guard opened fire on the students
Aftermath 4 Students were killed and 9 were injured Survivors of this incident have claimed that the guard were ordered to shoot, while the guard claim they were shooting in self-defense from reported sniper shots from a student
