Hult students will be housed in the Cooper Union Student Residence in New York City for the summer rotation. The residence is located near campus and offers apartment-style housing ranging from two to five students per unit, with most units being two bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Amenities include community spaces, security, laundry, and a study area. Students will receive an extra-long twin bed, desk, and closet. Shared kitchens and bathrooms are provided, along with WiFi. Communal spaces include an outdoor terrace, lounge, and study areas. Students are responsible for cleaning their apartments, with common areas maintained by staff. 2. Overview
The Cooper Union, where we will be basing our
New York Rotation this summer, is located on the
edge of Manhattan's East Village, easy walking
distance from Washington Square Park,
bookstores, galleries and film houses of Greenwich
Village.
Hult will have exclusive use of the Cooper Union
Student Residence, which is located less than a
two minute walk away from the campus and offers
apartment-style housing. Units range in size to
accommodate from two to five people, with the
majority of the apartments being two bedroom
units. Each unit shares a bathroom, common living
area, and kitchenette. The building amenities
include plenty of community areas for hanging out,
a 24 hour security/information desk, laundry room,
and study space.

3. Rooms
Ø Each student is provided with an extra-long
twin bed (39 x 80 inches or 99 x 203 cm), a
desk with desktop bookshelf and a wardrobe
closet. All shared twin rooms have bunk beds,
which can be left stacked or separated.
Ø Apartment common areas are equipped with
a table, chairs, microwave oven, full size
refrigerator, cabinet space, and gas stove top.
Ø One shared bathroom per apartment.
Ø Wi-Fi internet access is provided.

4. Communal Areas
Ø 4th floor outdoor terrace, a perfect spot to relax,
read a book, or hang out with friends while you
soak up the fantastic view of Lower Manhattan.
Ø Student lounge with pool table, TV, and foosball.
Ø Study space

5. Laundry Room
Ø 4 washing machines and 4 dryers.
Ø All machines are card operated at a cost of
$1.50 per load for washing machines
(approx. 30 minutes) and $1.50 per load for
dryers (approx. 45 minutes).
Ø Residents must provide their own laundry
detergent and fabric softener.

6. Cleaning
Residents are responsible for the cleaning of their own apartments. The building’s
common spaces - such as the student lounges, hallways, etc. are cleaned and
maintained by the maintenance staff.
Guests
Guests are permitted and will be required to check-in with security and receive a guest pass.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited within the Hult Student Accommodation. Students will be asked to smoke in the
designated smoking area which is located outside of the main entrance to the building.
Useful Items to Bring With You or Purchase in New York
In addition to clothing, personal hygiene/health care supplies, computer, and study materials, there are
a number of useful or necessary items to make sure you have when moving into Hult Student
Accommodation. Additional items include, but are not limited to:
Ø Towels
Ø Toilet paper, cleaning supplies
Ø Laundry supplies

7. Location
Hult New York student accommodation is on the corner of Third Avenue and Stuyvesant Street
(between Saint Mark’s and 9th Streets). It is conveniently located within a two minute walk from
Cooper Union’s Foundation Building, which is where your classes will take place over the summer.
